I am overjoyed to announce that I have reached a personal milestone on Patreon today: 1,000 members! I still can't believe that I am able to pursue my artistic projects, and it is all thanks to you, my amazing supporters. It really is a dream come true.
Note: The amount of supporters may change by the time you read this.
In other news, I wanted to give you all an update on the development of TOTK mods (Tears of the Kingdom). Progress is being made on the modding tools, and the latest tool created allows us to export the models and textures from the game. While it is not yet possible to swap the 3D models with modified models, this is sure to come in the future.
I would also like to continue making mods for Breath of the Wild, but since everyone is playing TOTK (including myself, of course!), it may be best to wait until I can fully modify the game before I start working on those projects. You guys let me know what you want. Is it worth making further mods for BOTW, or wait for TOTK?
In the meantime, I will continue to work on my current projects and exploring the files inside TOTK. I've already come up with several ideas, but that's for future post!

I think TotK has a long way to go to be like BotW so BotW is worth supporting in the meantime. Tbh until mods on the level of Linkle or Zelda's Ballad are available on TotK I'm kinda sleepin' on the mod scene there.

2023-06-04 01:55:55 +0000 UTCWe don't even know how mod-able TotK will be (at least on the Switch console). It would be supper cool if Sockpoppet took it upon himself to make a Linkle mod for TotK, do all the base armors, etc.

2023-06-03 04:45:57 +0000 UTCIt kinda feels like TotK will almost entirely replace BotW, so I'd hate to suggest focusing on BotW mods if they can't easily be ported over, but if we don't know who long TotK can be properly cracked then who knows how long that'll take. IMO do what you wanna do.

2023-06-01 17:07:31 +0000 UTCMaybe I'm a bit optimistic here, but I really hope one day there will be a way to make mods compatible with both games. Obviously ones that use the cherry oven in BotW wouldn't quite work, but just a "here's a model, you can choose to place it in the directory of either game and it will replace the default model and work with either game" would be nice one day. Not that that's your problem to solve, it's just a thought I had that I hope for in the future that maybe somebody will find a way to do.
