Quest Pack: Traveller's Guide to Dragonspring, part 5: Shops & Taverns

Welcome to the 5th Quest Pack in our "Traveller's Guide to Dragonspring" series!
In parts 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 we explored the key locations, flora, cuisine and treasures of Tova's Peak and the Realms below. Now it's time for a shopping episode! This guide details just a few key shops that can be found amongst many in the bustling Queen's Bazaar, and some of the places that player characters can stay and eat on their journey.
Since there is so much that even the Traveller's Guild (who write these guides) don't have a complete picture of what there is to discover in the Realms Below, some entries in the player's guide are marked simply as "UNDISCOVERED" - the GM's companion to this installment provides cards that players can add to their guide as and when they discover the missing entries!
This Quest Pack Contains:
- Player's guide to the Shops & Taverns of Dragonspring, including 4 shops and 5 taverns that are fully stocked and ready to visit.
- Game master's guide to Shops & Taverns of Dragonspring, including a inventories and menus for all of the things player characters can purchase, eat, or even stay at. Each location also comes with a side quest and reward!
- "Undiscovered" cards, detailing an additional 3 undiscovered shops & taverns that are unknown to the Traveler's Guild.
- Printable handouts of all the shop leaflets and tavern menus for players to brose or even keep as souvenirs in their journals!
Next up we will discover what sort of creatures dwell on the peaks of the mountain, and in the depths below...

2023-08-06 23:06:05 +0000 UTCWe decided to scrap a previously planned glossary on culture, traditions, holidays and festivals to keep the scope of the book manageable. The traveller's guides are supposed to be portable handbooks, so their size is a real concern for us. If we see more excitement around the topic, we will make sure to include it in the book. When this Traveller's Guide concludes we will take submissions for a big ReQuest Pack. If you're still keen on this idea then, I suggest you use the opportunity to request it and then we can have other patrons vote on it. If nothing comes of it, I think that we might do a quest pack of Hemelin festivals and holidays sometime down the line -- it's a great idea!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, - Niels

It could include traditions, holidays, festivals, clothing styles, art or music info, superstitions, etc. As a new Dm that’s the hardest thing for me to make the towns feel real.
