LET’S PLAY D&D! New one-shots, new campaign, new schedule!

Hello everyone!

Last year, we began running games for patrons in our discord server through our “LET’S PLAY D&D!” initiative. We started with some one-shots, and then moved into play-testing our Stars of the Sea campaign with you. With great excitement, that Stars of the Sea playtest concluded last weekend!

We’re having a great time running games for you, and it’s proven to be a great way to test new ideas for game mechanics and stories! So, moving forward, we are going to continue to host games for you in two ways.

Monthly One-Shot Games

Firstly, we are bringing back one-shots! We will run a different game for different players using different characters each month. These one-shots will be based either on stories or mechanics we’re developing for the r-n-w store, or based on future Quest Pack releases that need further testing.

The monthly one-shots will be announced on our discord server, and that’s also where you’ll be able to sign up to play! All you need to participate is a way to join discord voice chat.

Anyone can sign up to play in these games, and we will prioritise folks who haven’t played the longest to ensure everyone gets a chance to play.

New campaign: The Lost Portals of Ylixwood

Secondly, we are going to run a brand-new campaign idea. This campaign will center around the small village of Ylixwood and its museum of magical curiosities, and take the player characters to a kaleidoscope of different locations all over Hemelin.

For this campaign, we are looking for 5 players who are able to commit to participating in this campaign every other Saturday for the next 6-8 months.

Sign-ups for this campaign will open soon on our discord server; We are asking people who want to join to submit a character concept, from which we will choose 5 to form a team with. Don’t worry too much about missing out; We aim to repeat this campaign playtest with a new group after it’s conclusion!

The new “LET’S PLAY D&D!” schedule looks like this:

• Every 1st Saturday of the month: “Lost Portals” playtest.
• Every 2nd Saturday of the month: One-shot playtest.
• Every 3rd Saturday of the month: “Lost Portals” playtest.

Exact dates may change depending on holidays and other important events, as well as our development schedule. Any changes will be announced well in advance (if they can be) in our discord server.
