After almost a year of development and many different playtest iterations, we are proud to present: Ancestries & Cultures of Hemelin. Before we get into it, we want to take a moment to thank all the brilliant patrons in our discord server that have participated in play-testing this system. This project could not have been made without your help!

We hope you all enjoy creating characters with this book. We also look forward to expanding on it; there are many more Ancestries and Cultures of Hemelin waiting to be discovered...

Ancestries & Cultures of Hemelin

This book introduces players to a range of Ancestry & Culture options they can use to create exciting, diverse characters. These options replace the traditional "Race" choice - and it works like this:

You choose an Ancestry, which represents your character's biological traits, passed down to them from their parents.
You choose a Culture, which represents the traits your character has been taught (or developed on their own) while growing up.

You can also easily create a character of mixed Ancestry, or with a diverse Cultural background. This allows for a much greater breadth of diversity in character creation!

Characters created using this Ancestry & Culture system feel like they are the result of a living, breathing environment - instead of the static mono-cultures we see in traditional fantasy. Every Orc or Elf is different, an individual, and the character options provided in this book allow you to express that.

And if that's not enough for you, this Quest Pack also includes a guide on how to create your own Ancestries and Cultures, as well as handy form-fillable PDF templates that you can use to make & share them!

Note: This pack "Ancestries & Cultures of Hemelin" has been published on r-n-w.net at the same time as this Quest Pack release. We did this because we are particularly proud of this Quest Pack, and it took much longer to produce than any other pack we've ever done. We want it to reach as many people as possible! Quest Packs overall though, will remain patreon exclusive.
