TOOL Build Mode Integration - Early Access

So as many of you are already aware, TOOL can now be used in build mode if you are also using Better BuildBuy.
When both mods are installed, you'll be able to access TOOL via buildbuy using Shift + T
The usage is very similar to normal TOOL, except when the TOOL menu is open, you'll automatically be in TOOL mode and be able to click on any object to activate it.
In addition, shift+clicking surfaces will automatically place a group box marker. This can be used in combination with the Toggle Group button to highlight many objects at once.
A video will come out soon to detail everything, but that should be plenty for you to get started.
This post contains both mods so you can jump in easily, make sure to update both even if you're already using either of them.
If you notice any issues with the TOOL integration, please let me know.
One known quirk that isn't actually a bug is that Rugs can't be activated with TOOL by clicking them. This is because they're considered a "surface" by the game.
You'll have to use the grouping box or TOOL in live mode to select rugs.
Install Instructions
1. Delete any existing copies you have for TOOL or BBB.
2. Open the "TwistedMexi's TOOL v2.1 RC1" zip and drag the "Tmex-TOOL" folder inside to your mods root.
3. Open the "TwistedMexi's Better BuildBuy v1.5 RC1" zip and drag the
"tmex-BetterBuildBuy" folder inside to your mods root.
4. That's it! Don't restructure or move the files in any way.
NOTE: On Mac, .zip files may automatically be unzipped when downloaded.
In that case, drag the newly downloaded folder to your mods.
EDIT: It was brought to my attention that a redundant file was included in TOOL that may have been causing issues if TOOL was installed by itself. If you were having any problems with your menus or buildbuy catalog, please redownload. Thanks.
EDIT 2: Added the new video on the integration.
EDIT 3: Updated BBB for today's Bunk Bed patch. Redownload immediately.
EDIT 4: Release Candidate 3 (RC3) released.
New changes:
- Ctrl+Z undo - You can now use ctrl+z and ctrl+y for TOOL undo/redo while TOOL mode is active. This means the BB undo and the TOOL undo work independently from each other, as they should.
- Rugs now supported - You can now TOOL rugs in build mode.
- Save Dialog Bug - If you saved while TOOL was active, it would close tool but keep tool mode active. This has been fixed.
- Reversed Slotted Object behavior - Had previously made slotted objects activate the parent object instead, since slotted objects should only be moved by the parent. This unintentionally blocked other options so we're going back to the method of just yelling "Stop trying to move slotted objects!"

2021-03-25 13:22:58 +0000 UTCRoot means -that- folder, not a subfolder. So Mods root just means put it directly in Mods. If you follow the instructions exactly, you shouldn't see that message because there's no reason to be in that folder. That's why it's there, it being present doesn't mean its broken.

2021-03-13 19:20:41 +0000 UTCIt works on its own but you won't be able to use it in build mode. I'm not sure what you mean by not optimal with cc. If you mean cc isn't showing, you just need to check the cc filter button once and save your game. The filter will stay on from then on

2021-03-13 00:20:46 +0000 UTCNope, just double checked. Kits are at the bottom of the Packs filter list. If they're being hidden that means you still have an old copy of BBB somewhere in your mods folder. Delete all copies and then do a fresh install.
