Sneak Peek - Lionsgate

Hey sneaky peekers!

As some of you may know, I run a bi-weekly campaign here for our "Play the Game" tier patrons! In that game, after the adventurers had saved Dryfoot Hill, the story spread, and people started approaching them with job offers. Our group decided to sign up with the Band of the Brave, the royal adventurers' guild of Lionsgate. 

They now stay at the Halls of the Brave, right in the walled city centre of the city. They have not started work for them yet, and are currently making friends, exploring the city, and visiting the Evoker's Tower.

I wanted to share this first sketch of the Lionsgate area with you sneaky peakos:

You can see the walled city at the heart of it all, with a wide and not-too-shabby shanty town surrounding the city center, referred to as Out Town. The Soddenweald and Dryfoot Hill are to the north, following Bogway Road, and Silver Spires is to the east, following the Silver Road.

Here are some of the characters they've met - I've posted most of these on twitter before:

Princess Liliana is a famous adventurer that plays a big role in the background story of one of the players. They've only seen pictures of her so far...

Warden Vigilfern is the leader of the Silent Order in Lionsgate. She has a much milder temperament than Albus Hush, and disapproves of his methods. Besides, she's got no time to waste on wild sorcerers - she has actual devils to catch.

Sack of Wheat, Linda, Moonhorn, Gilgemar and Gorb are all fellow adventurers, all new at the band of the brave campus and looking to make a name for themselves. They've made friends with Linda and Sack, but made a bitter rival of Gilgemar.

Ser Kneelman is the group's commanding officer (or "trainer") that is only in a good mood when he's shouting - And he's shouting all the time. Sustenance is his patient assistant, who helps him with his wheelchair and archival matters. Ms Quizfitz is the head of the household in the Halls of the Brave.

Theodore Wellsworth the 3rd is a very, very powerful wizard. They've crossed his path because one of the adventurers has a specific magic he's interested in researching. 

I couldn't tell you which one of these things will end up in a future Quest Pack; A lot of it has been particularly tailored to the background stories of the player characters. I hope that it makes for an entertaining read, and maybe offer a little insight in what might be happening in those other towns on the big map!
