The project was called a "knowledge transfer" and it was meant to give senior students an opportunity to share what they'd learned with junior students. I opted to make a written tutorial about drawing characters!
The tutorial covers:
- Sketching on a digital canvas
- Line art principles
- Coloring techniques
This tutorial was not made for this Patreon campaign. It's a bit outdated, as I've learned a lot more since I graduated. My workflow for character work is still pretty much the same as it was back then. The main thing I do differently is that I now only use adjustment layers for shading if I'm not sure of the color palette I want to go for, otherwise I just use a normal layer with colors.
