Some examples of how the upgrade art works for the module cards. The icon determines the input part, and the animation the output part. These modules would give these effects:
- gain growth points on enemy death
- spawn missile on grapple slash
- apply shock on critical hits
- gain shield when healing

I’ve been very excited to share these animations - this is the Jester!
The gimmick with this enemy is they are an elementalist - the jester can shift between 3 states: burn, shock, and acid.
They have 2 attacks - a two hit slash attack, and a dive. If they haven’t shifted, these attacks will just deal damage, but in their elemental forms each attack will apply a nasty debuff of the respective colour.

Concepts for the next set of upgrade animations I’m working on - I have a few of these finished I’ll post after these!
Trying to keep these as simple as I possibly can so experienced players will be able to tell them all apart at a glance, while still trying to make the designs fun and animations interesting!
