Progress Update (Free Post)

Yoyogi Area (Shibuya - Shinjuku Connection)
More scenery, more stuff, all roads are done except one, just gotta make it look nice. Here's some screenshots.

If you joined our Nuggets Cup event recently, you will know this turn on the previous screenshot as that one difficult corner in the work in progress area, the one where people keep falling off the road, now more conveniently called "the Matos (Matos! Matos! Matos!) corner". Relevant signage pending.

Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway
Moving on from Yoyogi, lets have a look at Aqualine (thats still a thing!).

The absolute spaghetti of a junction, connecting Bayshore to the underwater tunnel of Aqualine, took most of the time spent on this new route.
Modifications were done to the existing section of the Bayshore expressway (road going left to right on the above screenshot - left is towards Tatsumi PA, right is towards Daikoku PA) to correct allignment issues and make all the connections to Aqualine drivable. 
The tunnel itself was easier but still needs props, lights and some other details.
As you might know, there is an artificial island and parking area (Umihotaru PA) at the end of the tunnel. Due to lack of data to model on, we decided to not make the PA accessible. Instead, the route will continue across the bridge to reach the toll station at the other shore of the Tokyo Bay. This will open opportunities for SRP to include more rural landscapes, since that side of the bay is not as built up as the side where Tokyo is.
Oi PA (Northbound)
A small PA that was ignored for all these years and only existed IRL for a few years. Luckily, it was there in 2007 which is the period SRP is targetting. Its located on the northbound lane of Bayshore, before the tunnel that leads to Odaiba towards Tatsumi PA (the first tunnel you come across if you spawn at Tatsumi and head south on Bayshore).


Hakozaki PA
I think you know the story with this one. Its almost ready. Just been a pain to get it to integrate well with SRP. It'll get done though. Here's some screenshots just cause.


Other stuff
Daikoku PA: Still planned and some basic groundwork has been laid out, just not actively worked on because we need to finish the rest of the areas.
Server things:
We're always excited to work alongside AssettoServer and we're ever grateful and happy to use their latest features on our servers, lately those being a car livery change function and new name tags over players.
Car Pack being worked on.
For Xmas and April 1st we tried injecting new models and changes to the track live on the server without requiring users to download the track again. Specifically for April 1st, we created a scenario where conctruction work had to close down Bayshore and redirect traffic towards another route. While this was a fun experiment, it opens the door for more interactive gameplay and we're looking forward to exploring this in the future. Nothing is decided yet but there are a few ideas being thrown around, perhaps random events like what you can see when playing Euro Truck Simulator 2/American Truck Simulator.
Probably more stuff that I'm forgetting as I type this. We hope we can get these things done and packed up in an update for you soon. Thanks for reading.
