Explosive Baseball Bat in Slow Motion (ft. Stuff Made Here) - Smarter Every Day 245

Well this one was fun.

Shane is an incredibly intelligent fellow.  I like that he challenges me to get better myself.  I think you'll really enjoy this video.  Be sure to watch his video to see how he built this thing.
It's crazy cool! Thank you so much for supporting!

Hi from New Zealand. Loving your content especially with regards to Space. Loved the baseball episode and I'm hoping to present a friend and massive promoter of NZ baseball with your TrashPanda ball. Also I would love to buy a BB skin that you shot, they look amazing. Rock on D.

Andrew

Hi Destin and all, Love your channel. Keep it up👍

Russell Harris

Cheers from Poland! Just got my baseball, it's singed and super cool! It's also my first baseball and it's harder than I imagined it to be (learning something even from this ;) Thank You for the great content, keep it coming!

After a long crummy day at work I was delighted to find your Trash Pandas baseball in my mailbox, and signed too! I thought I was too late to the party to get one signed. Thank you so much, Destin! You're my favorite person on the internet, and you brighten up my day. It's a pleasure to support your channel.

Damn I'm so happy you recommended me StuffMadeHere, Destin! That guy is an absolute genius. I binge watched every video of him and I'm absolutely amazed.

Florian Linscheid

Absolutely bonkers! Love it! Not sure how you guys are going to top this for sheer insanity (a couple of .50 cal rounds???) , but you need to figure out how to find the darn balls. Keep up the amazing work.

I'm assuming you're trying to keep the baseballs regulation, but since you've already personalized them, why not add a UV fluorescent coating, strap a UV torch to the drone, fly it at night in a grid, and Bob's your uncle. You'll probably end up finding a few scorpions as well for fun.

Evan Viljoen

Damn your boys are getting big. It’s like yesterday they were building LEGOs. Oh wait, there’s the Saturn V.

I loved how the bucket just went flying

Jay Swanson Too

My 23 yr old son, saw me watching this. He watched Shane's original video with the wooden bat.

Nelson Nissley

While it might be problematic due to danger, it'd be really neat to start up a prize/scholarship foundation for beating the distance. Also, I saw his original videos a while back, and I'm glad to see you guys collaborate!

Workbench

Time to start painting Baseballs neon colours so you guys can find them. lol

Thirsten

Y’all need to come out to some western dry lake beds to do this. Dead Cow Lake north of Reno would be perfect.

Brilliant work guys. Thanks for the heads up to subscribe to his excellent channel.

I watched the video with great pleasure! And I did not think that such a thing could be invented. Well done!

Stop using my youtube algorithm to do crossovers, next thing you know you will be talking to Colin Furze

Nick Hobson

Stick a strip of reflective material around the ball. Then you can go out at night with a bright light source and find it by the reflection.

Peter Holley

Perfect video, and I got my signed (!) baseball on friday. I live in Germany. The funniest part was “You are smarter than me” 🤣🤣🤣. I follow Shane as well now. I found talented and funny people thru your channel, who I follow since: The Slow Mo Guys Linus Mark Rober Christine Figgener So keep going with these collaborations as well! 👍🏻

It would have helped if you used a golf swing launch monitor to track it. You probably could have been able to project the distance. I love these videos and the science behind everything. Thanks for sharing, my friend. Felix

Received my baseball yesterday in Aberdeen, Scotland😁 did not expect it to arrive so soon and didn’t think I was gonna be lucky enough to get a signed one. Can’t put in words how happy that made me. Thank you

Very awesome. Maybe add some physics calculations to show what the estimated distances would be based on masses and velocities

So now, find some crazy MLB player who would be willing to be the batter and get the perfect swing and launch angle. This was fun!

Keith Johnson

I think the quickest fix is to simply get a pro or college baseball player to swing the bat -- he'll add a lot of kinetic energy and will hit it at the right spot for maximum distance.

Jim Battle

Oh man, I was already watching Shane. this crossover is so awesome!

What an awesome video by two smart people. Keep on!

Great video! Shane is a great collab. I coulda told you about the bucket handle failure though.... : )

RAD Donato

Destin, this was a fun one. Your excitement to have someone else break your and Jeremy’s record is incredible. Also, you have way too many copies of Monopoly... keep up the good work!!

Thanks Destin, no matter how obscure the topic is i love your videos! You have a gift in seeing the wonder around us.

Travis Boop

Yours is on its way. I hope that helps ☺

Steven Mclachlan

Now for a nice comment! I’ve seen some of the stuff made here videos and he is incredibly talented! I’ve not watched the video yet but looking forward to it!

I know it’s a big task to mail out all those baseballs. Any update on mine :)
