Hey guys! Thank you so much for supporting on Patreon at the $10+ level! I've attached three DSLR photos that mean alot to me and I'd like to explain them. These are straight out of the camera without any editing whatsoever, so you know you're getting the fresh stuff!
1. The first photo is the beautiful snowy wild in Idaho on the recent Mission Aviation Fellowship flight with Mr. Brian Shepson. This is some of the most remote wilderness in the country. Being from Alabama, I'm not used to beautiful scenes like this. Seeing it reflected in a wing of a plane I was allowed to fly was all the more beautiful to me.
2. The second photo is from the same trip. It's my oldest son and myself sitting in front of the remains of "56 Henry". This is Nate Saint's plane that was recovered from the river in Ecuador. Having told my son the story of how Nate Saint died, you can see from the look on his face that he's a bit torn on why he would be expected to smile in a situation like this. I couldn't tell he was wrestling with this as the time but looking at these photos and knowing my son very well, I can tell that it seems like I may have put him in a bit of an awkward spot without realizing it. Ha!
3. The first photo is a picture of Barney the Welder and myself in his garage. I haven't really explained this to you guys but Barney has started making the backwards bikes as a side gig. He's a welder by trade, so this is a great supplement to his income. I run the front end for him via backwardsbike.com. He says it's a game changer and is a way more efficient use of his time than the lawn mowing business he was running on the side. He gets about 2 or 3 bikes a month at the current rate and he seems quite happy about it.
I've hired an editor to help and I'll introduce you guys to him soon! Thank you so much for being a Patron, I know you don't have to support my wacky video efforts, but you do and it really makes my life easier. I really appreciate you guys and gals more than you'll ever know.
Regards,
Destin
