Hey Patrons!

3:56 - Wipeout Doc Explained

7:52 - Hyper Light Development Episode 03 [clip]

11:15 - DREDGE

16:23 - Dear Dwyery Podcast

20:05 - Documentary Channel Plans

So loads going on as you can see. I didn't even mention much about the tapes (100 videos!) or Stunt Derby (Kickstarter happening soon!). Also and for the $10 PAtrons; Early Access for Hyper Light Development Episode #03 drops Sunday.

Thanks so much for your support, and enjoy the show!

Norco for a studio in the south

If you wanna stop by Asheville and go for a hike in the mountains on your way to Raleigh give a holler!

Another fascinating Swedish indie studio is Simogo, responsible for the luminous Sayonara wild hearts and the highly innovative mobile games Year walk and Device 6 (as well as the soon to be released Lorelei and the laser eyes). They’re based in Malmö.

Hey Danny! Great Patron show (as always)! Just wanted to leave a few comments: You pop up for a frame during the clip of Hyper Light Breaker. (Timestamp 9:10 of the above Patron Show). Wanted to say something now since it's just a slice and not the Early Access version, so it'll be easier to get it out. Loved the Tapes update video and still excited for what's still to pop in my feed. They're always like a random present. When Stunt Derby's Kickstarter goes live, you've got my pledge. I too am the type to buy a Blu-ray just to have on my shelf (I... don't buy many). But I'm well beyond invested in the saga of the Developing Hell (how prescient of a title) for the Hades Blu-rays to not go in on one at this point. Regarding the roadtrip: Just throwing it out there, dependent on the route you take (if you do take one of course), you might drive right by where I'm at, so I'd love to buy you a local beverage (saying more gives away my location, plus its non-alcoholic so it won't affect your driving) if you ever felt so inclined to pull off for a brief rest. But no worries if you are not interested, nor if your route doesn't/won't. Have a great day!

Hiya Danny, have you considered something like https://lickd.co/ as a way to deal with the music licencing issues that you light get for the Wipeout doc? Sorry if I'm being an arsehole layman making obvious suggestions to a pro!

John Frazer

Very pleased to hear you will be fishing somewhere suitably foggy and spooky for the Dredge doc. I immediately had that thought, and it's always delightful to have a notion immediately justified!

Just a comment about the most recent podcast: Hooded Horse is the publisher for Against the Storm and ManorLords. Against the Storm was one of the early wave exclusive games on the Epic Store where they released in Early Acces and used that Epic money to create a awesome, awesome game. It might be the reason ManorLords went with Hooded Horse as the publisher because it seems they know what they are doing with the whole early acces stuff. Also, get your wive on when talking about city builders, i think she has a better grip on the genre if she's playing Settlement Survival ;) Dawn of Man might be one she would like, it's from 2019 but still gets bug fixes. It's basically a citybuilder set in the stone and iron age where you hunt mammoths and sabretooth tigers.

Not sure if it’s just how it’s cut for this patreon show but at 9:11 there’s a split second of Danny when the guy with the cool background figures is talking about HLB

Mark Larssen

Sick, thank you. I think I might actually just increase my pledge now and see if I remember to bring it back down in a few months. 😅 Love your work!

Eoghan Brady

Good call, he's local too!

So the way it works is the week we publish the early access version (usually a week or so before the doc comes out) we pull the credits names from Patreon. So basically the month it goes live. The current plan is to put it live in June, so you've plenty of time. If you're feeling worried about WHEN you should swap to that tier, just DM me and I'll take a look at your account. Thanks so much for considering it!

I imagine you already have a looong list for the podcast, but if you don't, Lorne Lanning seems like someone who be great on a podcast. His 3 hour raw interview with Ars Technica wasn't long enough!

Chris Hayes

Oh man I want my name in the Dredge doco! So exciting. Is it too late for me to up my pledge to get it in there?

Eoghan Brady

Sp*rs beating Man City to hand us the League would be poetic 🤌
