Hey Patrons,

Also a reminder that we posted a 90 minute Q&A exclusively for patrons earlier this week if you want a bit more detail on what's going on over here.

Omg the tapes are like flower picking now? Haha, "Shall I compare thee(se tapes) to a summer's day?" A beautiful romance

Agreed, the Patreon video UI is a bit ropey

Great update! I love the "Noclip recommends" and "nostalgia glasses" show ideas for Crew. I would watch those.

on the crew stuff,i would love to see more from jeremy such as the signalis video essay. that is genuinely one of the best video essays i've ever watched and REALLY deepened my love for that game. i know they take a while but personally i think that kind of stuff is very very within your guys' wheelhouse.

I hope you keep putting these videos on YouTube in the future!
I checked out the NoClip Game History Archive and see that you already have a bunch of stuff from The Legacy of Goku 2 on there, which is a game very special to me. The potential for the project is absurd. I hope you get all the support you need.

I love the indie suggestions, but it has had the negative effect of inflating my backlog of amazing games that I want to finish. It would definitely be something that I'd watch because it's hard to keep up with all the great games that are releasing. I've enjoyed the games that I've picked up based on Noclip recommendations.

Currently nothing, which is why it's public. I was misinformed about the rollout of the ability for us to post these to just patrons (free and paying). That's not coming for another few months apparently. So we'll just post thee public on for a bit so at least the free patrons can see it too. It's not ideal but that's the risk of being in the beta I guess. Got loads of patron exclusive videos and pods coming in the next few weeks though for paying patrons, lots of cool stuff.

I'm curious - what's the difference between posting publicly, and posting privately for free Patrons?

Patreon embedded video worked pretty good.

Oh yeah, very cool. This also makes me think we could easily put this type of stuff on the main channel as it's preservationist in nature.

I bet some of the guys at Digital Foundry would love to participate in the videos of you guys watching/reacting to old tapes/videos. They've done a bit of that themselves and John and Rich particularly have a lot of historical knowledge and were at a lot of the events themselves. And just are great people! Should reach out to them!
A couple months back John and some people invited on did this vid, for example, which possibly has a similar vibe? They've done similar vids with old E3 presentations too, with different lineups. https://youtu.be/dPB0TjR3UaY
Like this one reacting to the WiiU E3 presentation: https://youtu.be/x-W7pKKJ4eA
