We're going to use YouTube's "Premiere" feature for the first time this morning. You can watch our Transistor doc for the first time along with myself & everyone else in chat in about 40 mins (10am Pacific). It'll be a VOD via this same link immediately after.
I'm really excited to get this one out. We show off bunches of never-before-seen concepts from the original version(s) of Transistor and explain how the team ended up pivoting to making Red the protagonist. As a big fan of the game, it was really interesting to learn how it evolved.
If I don't see you at the premiere *tightens bow tie* enjoy the VOD!

I forgot to stop by and comment on this one - it was excellent. It was interesting to see the difficulties the team had with the game's design, and what they did to overcome them and launch such a confident game. The YouTube video premiere was fun, there was a nice atmosphere in there beforehand, even though I wound up missing the actual live video (my three year old wound up winning the ice cream debate)!

It was also a very interesting watch to find out about the games troubled development (those haunted looks were very telling at the start) and the hard work that created such a little known gem.

2020-01-13 17:29:10 +0000 UTCWas a great watch, might stop by the premier. Transistor was the only game from Super Giant I've actually had a chance to finish and I loved it so this was interesting to me as well.
