What's coming in February?

I just wanted to post an update on what to expect this month. I've mentioned a lot of this in videos, discord and our patron show but I appreciate some of you don't watch all the BTS videos so apologies if there's some repetition here for folks that do.

So sorry that it's been a little quiet lately when it comes to new docs. Our big January project was postponed last minute so we had to scramble to get some other stuff prepared. It's been a busy few weeks with lots of flying, filming and editing, but we have two major projects coming in February and wanted to give you a heads up.

First of all we've just returned from filming a documentary in Seattle on the early access journey of Astroneer. The story behind the game's development is one of the most difficult we've ever wrestled with and contains higher highs and lower lows than just about any other stories we've ever told. We look forward to sharing it with you in just a few weeks time. If you can't wait until then we just posted a Behind-The-Scenes video for Patrons and YouTube Channel Members.

Secondly, the second episode of our series on the early access development of Supergiant Games' Hades will be out this month too. It focuses on the team's work on some major updates and how they're dealing with the increasing pace of early access development. We're just closing the loop on some narrative threads this week and will have that one out in a few weeks. Also we're just finalizing a timetable for all the episodes coming out this year and will be sharing that with you all once Episode 02 is live. Maybe Amir will wear the same white sweater for the entire series - tune in to find out! ;)

We've got some fun plans for March including another doc and filming a bunch of interesting interviews at GDC just like we did in 2017. I'm also doing a talk at SxSW and we're showing the Half-Life documentary at the GDC Film Festival (which is, hilariously, sponsored by Valve) so if you're at either of those come and say hey.

Aside from that it's business as usual and business has been busy. Still trying to wrap up a few loose ends from 2018 but we've got eyes on some big projects and are excited to bring them to you later this year. We've got a fun Q&A with Supergiant comin along with some more production class episodes and *drum roll* the video on Blades and (no way!) that Tim Willits interview we shot in 2016. I know a bunch of this stuff has been a long time coming, so sorry for the hold up. I'll be just as excited to clear them off of our to-do list.
