Alright, let's get this new podcast started!
In the first episode of the all-new-format Noclip podcast, we talk to Mikey Neumann about media criticism and his time working at Gearbox on games like Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Brothers in Arms & Borderlands. (Recorded January 8th).
I also just wanted to make a note that this interview was recorded BEFORE all the Gearbox news this week so take that context into account when you're wondering about the questions we asked, and Mikey's responses.

Ideally I'd love to get to the stage where we have a studio somewhere and can invite folks in to do it on video - but that's a ways away right now. Gotta have dreams! Thanks again.

2019-01-14 18:43:44 +0000 UTCHey Danny. I enjoyed this way more than the previous episodes of the Podcast. I'm not so much of a fan of "interview" style podcasts. As someone with Asperger’s I prefer to sit and watch an interview because unless I really “know” the person I’m listening to I find the non-vocal cues (body language, facial expressions) really add depth and context to the discussion. Maybe for a “normal” person it’s not so much of an issue. I still have issues from time to time with this more non scripted approach, but it’s not as bad because it feels more like I’m just overhearing a conversation that just happens to be of interest to me. A subtle distinction, but to me it can make quite a difference. Keep it up!
