Hey Patrons!
So we're like...hours away from being able to tell you about our latest big doc that we're supposed to be filming this month, but we're still waiting on some final stuff to come down the pipeline so sadly I can't spill the beans quite yet.
In the meantime we're doing a weekly podcast! The last "story" format episode of the Noclip podcast for a little while (we still have that Jeff Gerstmann episode coming) has just been released where I talk to Rami Ismail about the representation of Islam and Arab people in western media. Click here to get links to various podcast services.
This week we're recording two episode of the new weekly show (it's all on the same feed don't worry) with our first two guests.;
- Ex-Gearbox turned YouTube film critic Mikey Neumann.
- and Ablegamers COO & fellow recovering trending gamer nominee Steven Spohn.
I'm recording these episodes this week so if you have questions for either guest please stick them in the comments below. Keep them short if you can. The plan is to have a selection of "Patron Questions" at the end of each episode. Because you wonderful people make all of this happen.
I'm really excited to start this new journey. I think we've got a special opportunity to create a new type of gaming podcast and I'm delighted to have you all along for the ride. We've grown so much over the past 2 years and I'm excited to make the podcast as successful as our video ventures.
Now shoot us those questions!
Danny

You should ask both what games they think didn't get the praise they deserved last year
2019-01-09 11:41:30 +0000 UTCI don't have a question but I just wanted to say, I love what Steven is doing with Able gamers and he's awesome and for Mikey, the 'Shaun of the Dead' episode is my favorite!

2019-01-09 06:17:22 +0000 UTCMikey has often said that he wants to celebrate what's great about film rather than nitpicking and being negative - does he feel like there's an overabundance of negativity and nitpicking in video game criticism/video essays too?
2019-01-08 20:11:13 +0000 UTCNeumann: 1) What happened to that new Band of Brothers game that disappeared into the darkness? 2) What is the culture like working at Gearbox? Is it fairly open to getting ideas from everyone or is it more like, "These few guys make the ideas, and we work on those?" 3) What is your favorite project you worked on at Gearbox and why? Spohn: 1) Have you tried Microsoft's new accessibility controller? If so, what do you like and dislike about it?

2019-01-08 19:11:44 +0000 UTCQuestion for Steven. What accessibility features should indies and small teams prioritize when hoping to be more accessibly? Are there indie games that you’d like to highlight who have done a great job with accessibility?

2019-01-08 19:00:07 +0000 UTCI have a question(s) for Mr. Neumann. As a person who has worked in games and now critiques films, how does he feel about the way the games industry tends to try and live up to movies and their importance as a medium? I've always felt that games should stop trying so hard to emulate films but until they're seen as equals, I don't know if that will ever end. Also, what is Mikey's favorite movie-licensed game?
