Random Patron Update (New Doc & More)

YOUTUBE VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrsTA_fQAlE

Hello Patrons!

Here's a bonus video for you folks in the $5 tier. As promised I'm gonna be filming a bunch more extra behind-the-scenes stuff on top of the monthly patron show and BTS docs and this is the first one!

In it I talk about what's been going on for the past few weeks, our next doc, our plans for the coming months and what to expect during a busy July. That's mostly the first 15 minutes - the second half of the video is just me telling weird stories for some reason.

Expect a Call for Questions in a few days as we prepare for next week's Patron Show!

Enjoy!

Danny

Random Patron Update (New Doc & More)

Sounds like a busy summer. I’m very curious to see how the docs created by Jeremy or Esteban would go. I have full confidence in their talent, just would be weird to not hear your voice or seeing your storytelling style. Can we start guessing what international trips and games you’ll be working through already? :) PS - loved the stories, and the casual format of the update btw! I watched it over my coffee and breakfast this Sunday morning and it felt like we’re just catching up live lol.

I do think we'll package it into something eventually still. Maybe just as a fun little video one week, but it'll appear eventually. Probably something I can edit during the first few baby months.

Very excited for the GOG doc. And I think every random update should come with a random story. :)

Hey Danny, have we passed the point of no return for the quake champions interviews to be put out? After them giving it a bit of another push recently i've wondered what they have to say about it. Thanks for your time, looking forward to hearing the next podcast ep.

Hey Danny! Thanks for the update and I'm looking forward to the Patron show. But the reason I wanted to leave a comment was about your UMD story... I have one too. I knew a guy a long time ago who never saw a UMD disc and just got a PSP to play Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. He asked me how to get at the game, and in my immense befuddlement, I straight up told him, "Just grab the case (I was referring to the box ALL hard copy games come in mind you), and pull!" He thought I was talking about the UMD casing. After a day or two later when he said, "I GOT IT!" and showed me the small disc... I, unlike you, couldn't contain what was admittedly a mixture of disbelief and hysterics. Please keep in mind he NEVER physically had the game with him when he initially asked me how to get at the game, so the thought NEVER crossed my mind he was talking about the casing. I still feel bad he had to buy the same game twice, but still this was incredible. And he wasn't nine. This happened to someone twice that age.

Loved the storys. I worked in a CEX store in the north of Ireland and I can relate to both of them haha.

The PSP may not have worked, but each of those kids now has a story to reminisce about, as do you. Is it worth an infinitesimal increase in insurance premiums? My answer: Life is short. What makes it bearable are good friends and shared experiences.

The stupid stories are worth being a patron for.
