And welcome to out 100TH 'UPDATE' POST here on the Noclip Patreon. With such a momentous number, I should probably have some momentous news! I guess you'll have to keep reading to find out.
So, what's going on in July? A lot. So let's get to it.
GOG Documentary
You may remember that we filmed a documentary on GOG when we were at CD Projekt last year. Well we're excited to say we're going to be releasing that doc this month. In it we dive into the history of the site and the incredible work they do to bring classic games back from the dead. There are some wonderful stories in this doc. Expect it around the third week of July. We've got a suite of other docs in the works too. We'll have a bunch more fun surprises over the coming months.
More Bethesda Videos!
We've got a few more "mini" docs from the Bethesda shoot coming in the next few weeks. This week we'll have a 13 minute video about the music and sound of BGS games, and you can expect more of them through July, and perhaps into August.
Production Classes
First of all, thanks for all the feedback on this last week. Based on what you all said we've decided on a strategy for this series. Our production class series will feature videos on everything from editing to color grading to making thumbnails and even how to best transport the kit. I already have the first video finished (focusing on the edit of the BGS trailer) while Jeremy is currently putting together a bunch about filming and color grading. Early Access ($10) patrons will have them for a full week before they go public on the YouTube Channel. Based on your feedback we're also adding a whole new element to the ($20) tier...
Editing LiveStreams
The ($20) Patrons are a long-suffering group who have put up with my wildly inconsistent Patron Hangouts for too long. For the next few months I'm going to be dropping the once-a-month Patron Hangouts in favor of doing more frequent Editing Livestreams. I'll be aiming to do one of these a week while we're editing a project and the VODs will be available to folks in the tier to watch whenever they want. I'll be taking questions from folks at the end of each stream (like we do during the hangouts). I'm gonna do this for a few months to see how popular they are. I'm also going to test out different times & days of the week as we go to make sure we make them accessible for as many people as possible.
Podcast Returns
The second episode of the Noclip Podcast will be live in about a week's time. It focuses on the story of Theme Hospital and the ex-Lionhead studio leads who left their jobs to create a spiritual successor. Patrons will get it early as ever, with it going pubic on YouTube and the regular feed later. We had trouble getting guests to commit in the weeks before E3 so we're going to be recording a bunch of them this month so we can build a good library of episodes over the coming months.
Other BIG news. Or I guess, small?
I'm really burying the lead here. If it looks like we're working on a lot right now it's because we're trying to get as much finished as possible so we have stuff to release over the next 8 weeks. You see late this month myself and my wife are expecting a baby girl. We're incredibly excited about our new arrival and once she's here I'll be taking a number of weeks off to spend some time with my family. We'll have new videos & podcasts landing for Patrons and subscribers during the time but expect to see a lot less of me on discord around then!
So that's what you and I are both expecting in July and into August. Exciting times ahead. Early one or two videos to drop this week.

Hey Danny, I have a suggestion/request for future content. Could you guys maybe take a tour of whichever studio you are at and either work that into the documentary or maybe more fitting, put it up as a separate video? Thats the one thing I found my self wondering about. What their workspace looked like. Especially ID´s and Bethesda´s offices would be cool to have a look at with all the statues, maquettes and so on. Could you maybe work that in, into future projects? Thanks! =D
