What's Next? Big Projects, New Show & Much More

Hey Patrons!
First of all, welcome to all the new patrons who just signed up to support our work. We hope you enjoyed the FFXIV series and are looking forward to having you on board!
So, I for one am delighted to finally have that project out. It was a wonderful learning experience on Noclip can achieve the best possible results from our work. One thing I've learned is that when we give production room to breath, they mature so much better. Going forward I'm going to use this lesson to film docs earlier, and run concurrent projects so that we have ample time for each project instead of rushing to start the next one. Which is just as well, because our next project is a big one.
In case you didn't notice, I'm actually on vacation in Ireland right now and doing a bad job of not working. So I'm gonna take the next week off to relax and make some mental space for myself. But before I do I want to give you a heads up on what's coming down the pipeline for the next two months.
First of all, we're filming our next big project at the end of the July / start of August. It's a long shoot in Europe that will result in some pretty special videos. It's our biggest project to date, it's one that so many of you have asked us to do, but I can't say anything more than that right now. Due to the scale those videos won't be out until late September so in the meantime, I'm going to be focusing on a bunch of exciting projects.
First off, our E3 behind-the-scenes will be posted once I get back to Oakland. There will be multiple episodes of Noclip Sessions in July too. We'll also be (finally) launching the Noclip interview podcast feed. We're putting on a pretty cool event at PAX West that hopefully I'll be able to talk about soon. I'm running a charity livestream next month too. Not to mention, my tenure as co-host on the Kinda Funny Games Daily podcast will be starting the week after next.
And most importantly *inhales* I'm using the next few weeks to do the other biggest request we've had from Patrons; In July my opinion show will return.
That show and the podcast are important to me as they are the final two promises I made when launching this project. You see Noclip turns 1 year old on September 12th, and when it does I'll be announcing some cool new things. So it's key to me that I can look back on year one and say that I made good on everything I promised.
That's basically the way of it right now. We have a number of projects booked up for the rest of the year, but as far as summer goes, we're focusing on one really big fan-favorite project which I'll hopefully be able to announce soon. Aside from that expect more Noclip Sessions, Behind-the-Scenes videos, podcasts, Kinda Funny appearances and the return on my opinion show.
Lastly, and most exciting for me, myself and my wife are planning to relocate from Oakland to somewhere further north of San Francisco. My hope is that when we do that I can secure a dedicated studio space that will become Noclip Headquarters. So keep your eyes peeled for that.
Noclip is evolving. I feel like I've made good on most of the promises I made last September. We've has produced some pretty crazy documentaries, and now is the time to start planning for the future. Thank you for being on this journey with me.
Our summer is going to be very exciting. Let me know what you think.
Danny
I personally really like the microscope Danny puts on individual games development. What other aspects of gaming would you be interested in?

Loved the final episode but there were some 'quality' issues with 1 & 2. Hopefully Danny can explain at some point.

I hope you find time to schedule a doc about some wider aspects of gaming culture soon. I enjoy hearing about individual games development but there's a lot more scope for telling stories I know you'd agree. Looking forward to the op show.

Danny, please enjoy your time off, you've been working like crazy, which shows - your videos are absolutely fantastic, and getting better! I am really looking forward to everything else that is coming up.

Hope you're having a great vacation pal. You're been absolutely killing it. Looking forward to whatever comes next :)

Still disappointed, still waiting for that Hatoful Boyfriend documentary. Give the people what they want! In seriousness, keep up the excellent work, and enjoy Ireland while you're here. I'm in Galway and the weather is amazing!

I really hope you know that you should never feel ashamed to take holidays. I know the pressure must be immense with crowd funding, but we want your best work - and that means giving yourself plenty of time to relax and clear your head. Huge respect for the work you've done so far, all the best.

Danny! Go shut the laptop down and enjoy the vacation.
The FFXXIV documentary was amazing! Another step up in both quality and storytelling.
Can't wait to hear more about September project and looking forward to all the "snack" videos in between.
Thank you have fun! We should all celebrate the 1st year birthday of Noclip on like google hangouts or something like that!!! Several thousands people popping a cold one to celebrate our baby!

I'm constantly amazed by how great all the docs have come out Danny. Great work. Love hearing that your new opinion show will debut in July. Loved your old one so I can't wait. It's amazing how much you have accomplished in this short time. Great job and keep it up. I have always felt that the bit of money I give to be a patron is very very well spent. Thanks for that.

It feels like one big collaboration project and when there's exciting news, I get genuinely excited for you and the noclip Patreon even though we're all complete strangers. What a feeling! The video game industry needs you and your authenticity and I'm so glad we get to do it altogether, be it $3 a month or $30. Take a load off you magnificent bastard.

100% agree

Deadly work so far! Keep it coming but for me and I'm sure with most of us, is the quality aspect. Quanity is great and all but not if you have to sacrifice it for quality. In short you are exceeding all expectations.

Noclip HQ sounds pretty cool.

Here in the North Bay we'll welcome you with open arms Danny! Novato, Petaluma, Cotati and Rohnert Park are nice areas to live, very family friendly and much cheaper than Oakland lol If you want to live a little bit closer to the city you could try where my wife and I live in Larkspur (30 minute ferry ride to the city) or San Rafael, nice places!

I'm not big on Final Fantasy but found the Noclip series about it fascinating. The channel is my favourite of everything I follow. The focus on quality is key to that. Quick and cheap YouTube content is ten-a-penny, it's great to have something with some real time dedicated to it. The waiting between releases is worth it! :)

Further north of SF? If you pull a Jeff Gerstmann and move to my former home in Sonoma County, I'll be both freaked out and thrilled

I don't normally comment or interact on Patreon (I do subscribe to a few creators), but I have to say Sir, I really really really love your work with NoClip. Its one of the few products that I'm PROUD to support, so just wanted to say great job, keep at it and best of luck.
And of course, Thank you for doing a project like this. Back in the Tech TV Days we had small snippets here and there on Video Game Developers and their stories, but rarely was it the focus. I missed those segments when Tech TV Died, but now, years later, I'd say you're doing a BETTER job then most.
So yes. Just wanted to express my enthusiasm and gratitude for you work. Great stuff, and excited for the future.

I'm 100% satisfied with my subscription and expect i will continue to be so. The quality and breath of content so far has been eminent. All i fear is that you take on too much. Do exactly what you want/need to but keep you physical and mental health in mind the whole way. I am more and more impressed with each project and cant wait for the next one. Take you time, we arent going anywhere :-)
Enjoy you vacation! Well deserved.

Wow, it seems like your total content output is on the verge of exploding! I'm a chronic podcast consumer so I'll be all over that, and the news on the opinion show is amazing! The Point was the only reason I wasn't returning to Gamespot at a certain point. Just out of curiosity, is the new opinion show a Noclip piece or separate? Will the docs and the opinion pieces ever be related? (i.e. Here's a doc on FFXIV, and here's an opinion show about MMOs.)

Awesome, I've guessing that you're covering CD Projekt Red and the WItcher series, but whatever it is i'm sure it'll be interesting. If you ever swing by NYC, i'd love to buy you a beer as a TY for all the great content you're doing.
