Patron Update: Mailbag, Mystery, Japan & The Future!

Hello Patrons!
First things first, the Spelunky doc is going live tomorrow. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed shooting the b-roll.
Secondly, I'm going on my honeymoon tomorrow! This will consist of the first time I've been away from work in almost seven months, so thought I'm terrified you will all leave by the time I get back, I think it's going to be good for my nerves. As such, I thought it would be a good time for an update video!
In the video, I show off some of the stuff we bought in Super Potato (Tokyo), open a few overdue mailbags, talk about our time shooting the FINAL FANTASY XIV doc and give you a sneak peek at our super lengthy behind-the-scenes feature we shot while on location in Tokyo.
As ever, your support has been incredible these past six months. In the time it takes many production companies to hire a few inters, you powered us to create documentary series on Rocket League, DOOM, John Romero, Mystery, Frog Fractions 1 & 2, The Witness, & Spelunky. I can't wait to tell you what we have planned for the next six.
May is going to be fun. Once I'm back from my honeymoon you can expect some mixture from the Japan BTS, the videos we shot at GDC and our Quake retrospective.

Man, I love the Japanese covers for Final Fantasy games... Anyway, to add my two cents. I'm of the mind that the video needs to be as long as the story that you want to tell. I think you keep the docs at a good pace to get into the in-depth into the material and out to the next subject before becoming stagnant. So far, I've definitely enjoyed the length of your vids and if they're longer, I'm all for it... Of course, I was someone who giggled with glee when I saw MatthewMatosis' Dark Souls commentary video was six hours long, so I realize I may not be the voice of the average patron. Ha ha! And again, as I see it, I say don't sweat about getting "patron only" stuff out. The bonus content is cool and fun to watch, but I personally became a patron to help fund these awesome docs that you and your crew get to make and whatever extra stuff you have time for that you're feeling like posting is a cool bonus. And I don't blame ya for stepping back from social media a bit. I've been kind of guilty of getting caught up in it myself since November for obvious reasons. But yeah, I'm looking forward to the FF XIV doc and hope you and your better half have/are having/have had a great honeymoon!
