Behind the Scenes of the Zendaya Armor Photoshoot!

I worked with my AMAZING friend Olivia to set up the photoshoot and capture the photos (she's a lighting wizard), and I wanted to document the process!

2024-03-06 18:41:53 +0000 UTCI LOVE these BTS videos and the photos have turned out incredible :-D I don't envy you having to clean up all that sand though - back in the 90s when I was living in London, a friend of ours who lived in a terraced house with a small concrete back yard had a "beach party". For that he ordered a tonne of builders sand to be delivered and he filled his yard with it, stuck a paddling pool in one corner and voila, we had a beach. He also had wooden floors throughout his entire house so it was like an ice skating rink inside once the sand started to get walked through, and he was literally sweeping and hoovering up sand for MONTHS. It was a great party, but I'm so glad I didn't have to live with the mess afterwards!! If the beach party was today it would totally have been Dune themed :-D

I love seeing all the stylized and beautiful shots but there is that kind of perceived 'oh I'm not that cool or pretty or collected' that is immediately broken in the best way by a silly photo. You are beautiful and cool but those perfect photos are styled and curated. I don't have to compare my silly candid to your curated photo instead I can compare my candid to yours and it feels more real and like human connection. I don't know this is rambly but I do mean this as genuine compliment and appreciation. It's easy to let the perfect social media photos get you down but yours never do.

2024-03-06 16:49:20 +0000 UTCI always love to see the behind-the-scenes stuff! (Partially because we get a peek into what cleanup has got to be like.) This looked like a challenge, because sand. Do you think that was better, worse, or about equal to all the paper snow? Also, there were two additional bits that absolutely DELIGHTED me: 1.) DOG HAIR. It true if you're a crafter and have pets, everything you make gonna have a soupçon of pet hair. 2.) The door just randomly being blown open occasionally due to the wind.
