Thank you for this! Listening to this presentation for new insights on non-natives. Needed a pep talk to keep going after the Broom, Ivy, Blackberries, Herb Robert, etc. from a woodlot and meadow I get to help steward. Helpful to hear your take on humans and invasive-ness as folks ask me about that. My forest ecology prof used to say that if he could play g*d he'd prevent the introduction of non-natives to ecosystems. He thought that was even worse than harvesting all old-growth or climate change. And yeah, what does Ivy and Laurel look like in their native habitats!?! Glad you are getting these concepts out to broader audiences. Thank you!

When you've had the misfortune of watching it eat alive entire forests (therefore, the entire ecosystem web) it changes your perspective on invasives quite a bit.
