I've never even heard of wet prairies. I always thought Little House on the Prairie and I had an Aunt way out in Waco Texas who saw a panther in the 80's when there were still wildcats.

Had you not exist and I never discovered you, my brainwashed ass would still look on the weather channel seeing all those fires and California fires and thinking the whole world is going to hell. I never knew anything about fires and how common and needed they actually are. I've learned more about plants in the past few months than I ever have in my 30 years of life. Because of you and your YouTube videos which I didntknow existed until a few months ago.

I'd love if someone, or some people, took the effort to transcribe these podcasts, as I often struggle with the Latin names and Google refusing to give me results unless I spell it correctly, or sometimes I miss what is being said for various reasons, by being not native English listener. Still enjoy just being mind blown, learning and trying to comprehend so much complex stuff. Yet an other brilliant person to interview... Probably a bunch of steps over most others

Lud.

Yeah, just fire🔥

Can you guys please make a shirt with big ass text saying something like; 1/2 of 1% of IL prairies are left or 96% of IL prairies have been destroyed, and once gone, there is no bring them back? I find myself neurotically chanting this everywhere I go while walking my dog. I think I'm going to spend like $1,000 making signs relating to this fact alone. It literally seems like 1 out of every 50 houses might have a coreopsis or phlox, but absolutely no natives beside that.

This was great! Appreciate Gerould's wisdom and his attitude, too! 🔥

Absolutely incredible, I looked up "How to save up Illinois remnant prairies" and the majority of the results were about the Bell Bowl Prairie... so much push was to save the Rustypatch bumblebee, but should have also been about part of the 1/2 of 1% of irreplaceable remnant prairie that would be destroyed....

Mitchell

This last season in Maryland, it was the first time ever in history that they had to irrigate fields for cows to graze. If that isn't a sign then I don't know what is.

Mitchell

Please, can we get some video of his yard / Can he help me burn and transition my yard in MP/Des Plaines area??

Mitchell
