Added 2021-07-05 16:19:30 +0000 UTCJamie has dealt with acne most of her life. She has tried several different medicines and procedures that haven't really worked. When I originally met her, I wanted to do raw portraits with her which are still some of my favorite portraits.
She recently tried a new procedure call skin needling. During the procedure, a dermatologist punctures the skin using a device that has fine surgical needles, creating controlled microinjuries. As these injuries heal, the body produces capillaries, collagen and elastin that reduce fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars.
Jamie messaged me and said she was about to get it done, and thought pictures might be cool if I had some free time. So this is what we came up with.
We will most likely have another set of portraits once she is fully healed after her final treatment.
