Zoo Flu: Red Bird 2 - TG Caption

I didn’t just look different. I felt different. Everything was lighter, easier to move. My body seemed hollow, almost weightless. My bulk, what little there was, melted away before my eyes as feathers continued to sprout. I thinned all over, but my waist practically caved in.  I was so focused on that I failed to notice my face’s transition from mouth to beak. Yet when I saw it for the first time in the mirror, it looked right, like it was supposed to be there. Still, I knew I wasn't done. Something was fundamentally off. Something was missing...

I took a deep breath and watched my chest rise. Then I took another and another. Rise. Fall. Rise. Fall. Rise. Rise...RISE? WHAT? At the same time some of the weight reappeared down below, leaving my butt noticeably fuller and heavier. Wiggling my hips to relieve a building pressure, I heard loud, twin pops before they expanded, getting wider and wider over the next several minutes. The remnants of my manhood shriveled all throughout, but I barely noticed as new thoughts invaded my mind. Some part of me resisted... but...  but that was silly. Wasn't it? The new thoughts were me too. Weren't they?

Wider hips…for the children, for my eggs.  (But...Birds don’t have wide hips.) A large chest…To attract my mate. (Birds don’t ha- that's a human thing!) A warm, wet place to receive my mate’s seed. (Birds…don't…) Milk filled breasts to nourish the chicks. (How would that even work?!-) OHH my chicks! That’s what matters! That’s all that matters to both of us...err to me! I want chicks! I HAVE TO MATE!

I shook my head, trying to dislodge the wonderful, awful idea, the rising need. What was I even going to mate with? Another human? YESSS need strong male for strong chicks… The thought was intoxicating. What was this? What was I? I looked like some crazy combination of human woman and bird? Yes…YES! That’s exactly what I am! Look at me. I am perfect! Or at least I will be…when I find a mate!
