/Cassie - B&W 35mm - next 2 projects

I will have Cassies set up by tonight. Film is definitely different than digital. Lots of things to learn and experiment with. Sometimes you get happy mistakes that look kinda cool.

So, next 2 projects: September 8th I’m shooting Portra 800 color film, fine art nude on a farm in the fields and in a pond. Going to see what we can get. Working with a new model, so looking forward to shooting next week.

The second shoot I’m going to try a dark horror set with film. I’m collaborating with 2 models and another Photographer - https://instagram.com/xvkbarr

He is going to shoot digital, and I’m going to use Porta 800 film. Blood queen concept using a few of my masks and crowns from previous shoots. As I build the background, I will get some behind the scenes shots and keep everyone updated.

I sent another set of Film out Monday. Tried window light portraits and color half nude implied portraits. Seems to be about a 2 week turnaround.

So when am I going back to Digital photography? Honestly, I’m not sure yet. I definitely miss it. I sold my camera about a month ago. I’m waiting for canons new R5 to be in stock, but it’s a pretty hefty investment and I need a new computer first. So I may have to wait until early next year. 😊 maybe things will work out.
