Take your own photographs, have someone volunteer to be a model for you, use 3D models! It's all there! Even Disney used live action actors for their 2D movies!

How else do we get a good sense of how light interacts with a subject, how to accurately and realistically proportion our art?? Honestly if I don't use at least one to three references for a drawing I can tell because it's usually a lot less than good! I hope your friend's daughter feels better. I know I would if I had your guidance in that situation 🥰❤️ I mean life drawing is love references and it's literally taught to be the best way to learn! Honestly...
