That's why he expected his friends to stop him, so that explains why he let them use the tittan power. That way, if his friends as a group of Eldian + Mar worked together to kill him, the war between them would end and Eren would take all the blame. His friends would become heroes who would save the world from his terror and in this way he would finally bring true freedom through his sacrifice... It would be a good but sad ending 😭
