PENTAGON - "IN:VITE U" Album Listening Party

Comments

i just wanted to add about Call my name - wooseok wrote "no diggity" in the lyrics and kino sampled the actual no diggity in the song. this move just blows my mind everytime and it's honestly one of the most genius things a composer cd do imo.

feelin like is the only song that wasnt composed by the members and it's never been so obvious. every other song was just LEAGUES above it. anw thank u sm for reacting to this album!!!! and giving it a chance even though i know feelin like wasnt your exactly to your taste. this is defo one of the best albums of the year so far for me. anw i honestly what i wd give to turn back time and watch this with you live on twitch! how did i miss this aghhhhhhhh. sucks to be on a completely diff timezone. :<

Hi Lok! Thank you so much for reacting to this album. We share the same sentiments with Feelin’ Like. It’s a good song but it’s not the type of music I usually listen to. And yes, I agree, it felt different. Maybe because it was not produced by any of the members. On the other hand, the bsides were produced by Wooseok, Kino and Shinwon and I love every track so much that I listen to it more than the title track. Jinho even said that he thinks Sparkling Night should be the title track and I 100% agree. As for my fave song in this album, it’s The Game and One Shot <3 Wooseok’s a genius for creating a masterpiece like The Game.

Hey man, these guys have my whole heart. I can’t help myself. Love you, hope you’re having a good day!

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SHADOW I LOVE ITTTT

Warning: I’m about to talk about how much I love Pentagon and go into unnecessary depth about each track. I’m sorry? I am so proud to be a Universe. I have never once regretted joining this fandom, no matter how painful the journey has been at times. I don’t want to make this bitter, but Pentagon has been through A LOT. These 9 guys are some of the most humble and down to earth people. They know how much we love them. They know how hard the fans work, and they give that love and energy right back. This album is phenomenal and its clear that they made it for the fans. I feel so grateful. I’m also grateful that you took the time to listen to the album. It means a lot that you continue to explore Pentagon’s music beyond the requests I gave you. My heart is very full. Universe and Pentagon, fighting! 💙 Track by Track: Feeling Like I have complicated feelings about this song. It’s not a bad song by any means. I actually really liked it on my first listen. It just lacks the quintessential Pentagon flavor. Any boy group could release Feelin Like. I’m trying to not be biased just because I miss Hui, but this is the group that released Basquiat. This song could’ve been so much more. I am endlessly amused by the fact that the Tagons also don’t like the song. Shinwon went on a three day strike when he found out it was gonna be the title. They’ve said multiple times that they didn’t like it (and didn’t want it) until they heard Jinho’s guide track. It isn’t anyone’s favorite song, and they prefer to talk about the b-sides rather than the title. All that aside, the members did an excellent job with the lyrics. I am especially fond of the Greek mythology reference of the story of Pygmalion and Galatea. (The maknaes had a song last year called Cerberus. Hmm. Who’s the mythology buff? My bet’s on Kino.) The MV and live stage definitely sell it for me. Everybody looks great, sounds great, and they’ve worked hard. ** HOWEVER!! We got a fucking win. Thank all of the deities in existence, we got a win. I will take back all of my criticism if this song makes Pentagon feel more secure in their career. Jinho said that he thought this album would be their last. The pure relief on all of their faces when they saw their score broke my heart. Pentagon fights so hard for a sliver of the recognition they deserve. If it takes a song like “Feelin Like” to keep Pentagon together, so be it. One Shot Let’s go producer Shinwon! My man is keeping the “rock band” agenda alive. This song is so fun. I’m a sucker for an antidrop, and Yuto’s deep voice is the cherry on top. Love the guitar here, and I really hope they perform this live. Jinho’s “I’m back, bang bang” brings me so much joy. Shinwon said that “One Shot” is about Pentagon’s story, and I think I the song really reflects that. Funny that you said it reminds of you Seventeen and Woodz, because Kino is really good friends with Vernon and Woodz! Kino’s favorite song on the album. The Game Wooseok, you’re a madman. Apparently he heard Jinho just kinda messing around singing some opera, and decided to make a song around it. Then he assigned Jinho the opera parts of the song without asking him first and Jinho scolded him. 😂 What a song, what a gift, what a blessing. First things first, Jo Jinho is a vocal legend and we’re going to give him the respect he deserves. This song is everything I could’ve asked for. This is why I listen to Pentagon. Imagine hearing this song, and still selecting Feelin Like as the title track. What the fuck Cube?? Is it too early to declare this my SOTY? Yanan’s favorite song! Call My Name Thank you Kino for letting us steal this from your mixtape 💙. This has Kino’s musical signature all over it and I love it (but I always love Kino’s sound and his songs are frequently my favorites). The Blackstreet “No Diggity” sample is so good and fits in so well. Jinho sang his ass off in those ad libs. This also could’ve been the title. My second favorite track. This is Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, and Wooseok’s favorite song on the album. Sparkling Night Another excellent Kino production. Why does this song taste like nostalgia? Kino said his inspiration was thinking about riding a Ferris Wheel at the beach, looking out at the scenery from the top and not wanting to come back down. I feel like Hongseok really shines on this song. It fit his vocal color really well. This is Jinho’s favorite song on the album. Bad I would ask who hurt Wooseok, but he already told us this was based on an imaginary scenario 😂. It’s crazy that he finished this song in two days. I know the general public sees Hui as Pentagon’s genius producer, but this album really shows Wooseok’s maturity and influence on their sound. Yanan sang his heart out on this one. This is Yuto’s favorite song on the album.
