Update

Hey, everybody. I'm still hoping to get a Raksura snippet done at least for this month, but I've been pushed for time and really stressed recently and it's been hard to get anything done. I feel creatively "locked" if that makes sense. I've also fallen way behind on doing book recs for my other blog, and it's very frustrating for me. I want to thank everyone for your patience.  You guys are so great.

I do have two SF stories coming out, one short one in January and another later in the year.  I can't say what venues yet because the publishers haven't announced it yet, as far as I know.

And I'm working on the Murderbot novel, which will be a sequel to the novella series.  It's going extremely slowly but at least it's going. Murderbot is not a particularly easy character for me to write and basically all the novellas except the first one were like pulling my own teeth, so this is not entirely unexpected.  But I was hoping to have it closer to done this year and so it's disappointing for me that it's going so slowly. The process is that I write about 20,000 words, then take all but 5000 words out and start again. It's very frustrating.  

The first novella, All Systems Red, is going to be released in hardcover in January so it will match the other three novellas.  There's also a compilation volume coming out with all four novellas together, which I think will be released in 2020 right before the sequel volume comes out. 

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for Raksura snippets, feel free to post them and maybe that will get me over this block.  Also, if you have questions about anything, or writing in general, publishing, etc, I can try to answer them.

(Also, Patreon makes me do a CAPTCHA and verify my IP every time I log in and it is driving me up the wall.  Does anyone else have to do that when they log in?)
