New poll! "A Day in the Life" vs. "Good Vibrations"

Okay, no more Gen Z crap. We're going to back to those Boomer classics, baby. You know them, you love them, vote now on the psychedelic masterpieces of the late '60s, The Beatles' "A Day in the Life" or the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations"!

I saw the music video for Day In the Life on TV as a kid and it stuck in my head instantly. Hard not to love a song about being traumatized over the news in Current Year. Pet Sounds is an amazing album too!

Lina, I love you and agree with a lot of your takes, but “Good Vibrations” is a good song, obviously “a day in the life” is better though

Been a while since the comments were this good; good job, everyone, I'll not be contributing.

I mean, A Day in the Life feels pretty accurate. Start with some upsetting news, distract myself with a movie I wanna see, have a manic episode, come back to some more upsetting news.

My friends and I were talking once and somehow phone sex over tin cans on a string came up. Several of us started singing “Good Vibrations”. I guess that one gets my vote then. Good memories

Once upon a time, I made a short film in college, in which I was heavily influenced by American Psycho, and like Patrick Bateman, my character had music playing in the background, but unlike Bateman, in which he was shown dancing before murdering Jared Leto's character, I was singing along to my song instead as I was suffocating another character with a plastic Walmart bag, played by my college roommate. Good Vibrations was that very song.  Anyways, A Day in the Life is the better song.

I need my right arm. But I need my left arm too. How dare you make me have to give up one of them? :)

I never remember that’s the name of the Beatles’ song, but I definitely know the song very well. Other than Beatles vs Beach Boys, I didn’t really understand why these songs were going head to head. After listening to both and seeing when in their careers they were released, I kind of get it, but still think they’re not very similar songs.

How can I get ANY good vibrations in a day in THIS life???

My vote is for the song that got sampled on Cowboy Carter. (I loved it before then though)
