When you travel to Prague, you'd think there would be enough models you could book, right? Unfortunately, times have changed. I can't explain why that is. But luckily I found Monika, from Poland, and was able to hire her.

You can tell she's a catalog model and firmly established in the fashion world. It somehow always feels special when a fashion girl decides she wants to be photographed without all the clothes for once.

Asanas in Eden, Video 4k

I've often wanted to do a shoot with yoga. The models usually say they can do yoga, but unfortunately that's not true. Kira didn't say she could do it, but she was damn good at it.

The nature around us was enchanting. The yoga mat I brought with me (yes, the one from the shoot with Lina in Prague) is pretty thin and the rock was hard. But Kira didn't complain once.

I really wanted to present my photo book "Mellow" to Avery in person. And when she was cruising through Europe in her yellow VW Beetle, she made a stop to see me in Frankfurt. I had previously searched for an outdoor location here where we could photograph with a car undisturbed, which is really, really difficult in Frankfurt. Donkeys are just adorable. So hilariously goofy, funny, sweet. That's why I stopped briefly when I saw them, because Lina was completely smitten too. Note to self: If you want to lift a woman's mood and give a shoot new energy, bring animals into the mix.

These shots were taken before Nastya became a Playmate. I just need to mention that briefly for the sake of completeness. Nastya is my favorite model, if I'm allowed to say that, but I can't always work only with her. Though she's definitely one of those women I could just stare at all day long.

Sometimes I wish I could have models like Bernadette back. She was so "go-getter," always full throttle, no fear, no shyness, and cheeky. That's a really good combination. To be honest, she was ahead of me back then. She wanted to be in Playboy and I thought her breasts were too small. So another photographer seized the opportunity and got her into Playboy. As they say: boldness gets you further. Go, Bernadette!

I'm always a bit worried that you might be disappointed when I photograph with a longboard again (at least it's a different one from last time). But then I think to myself that maybe you're more interested in the woman than in my props after all. I hope I'm right about that.

Where have high heels gone? What is fashion doing these days? Here's a real woman. Voluptuous. Am I still allowed to say that? Let me introduce: Delila. A funny person. She went to the reception desk and said she was there for the photo shoot. The bewildered receptionist then poured her a champagne on my tab, but I had to laugh myself when she knocked on the hotel room door with a glass of bubbly, where I had already set up my lights.

I haven't been to Ibiza all that often. But the island has always held a fascination for me. When I photographed there for the first time in 2013, it was this hippie shoot with Raphaella. Since I was back at the same locations this year (with a different model), I pulled the old photos out of the archive, reworked them, and posted them here in large format.

Planning outdoor projects in Frankfurt is always tricky. You never know what the weather will bring, especially when you're brave enough to try it in September. But as they say, fortune favors the bold, and this time I got lucky and caught the last rays of sunshine with Yao Tsy. She's half Indian, an exotic beauty I haven't had the chance to photograph very often, and I mean that in the most positive way.

What can you really do in a plain white hotel room? I simply used it like a studio, cleared everything to the side, and asked Nera to oil herself up. Then I got the idea - why not use lipstick to paint around the nipples too? I got slammed for that in modeling forums back then. They said you weren't supposed to do things like that. But comments like those actually just motivate me to come up with something even more unconventional.

I had always wanted to do a shoot in a banana plantation. And so it finally happened this year in Tenerife. There are always these disgusting big spiders in the banana trees, and they spin large webs that I beautifully cleared away with my head. Wonderful.

Beraca stepped in for a French model who canceled on me the day before, which isn't so cool when you're on an island. It took a lot of sweat and stress before I could fly Beraca in at short notice.

Marta was my first real nude model. One who knew her way around. Who had more experience than I did. She's tall and a real presence with her red hair. She came from Poland, the nude modeling mecca of the early 2000s.

I realized that it would be better to set up the camera higher, which is not so easy outdoors. I never actually have a tripod with me. But there will be a solution. As I said, I'm still learning. At least the video quality is better than it used to be.

For this shoot, Kira didn't sleep a wink the whole night before because she was very tense before the trip. And she can't sleep on the plane. Somehow understandable with Ryanair. Anyone who has ever flown with them knows what we're talkin...

I've never published these photos before. It was actually just a test shoot because I wanted to see if Anna Sophie had what it takes to be a Playmate. She passed the test. How stupid that sounds. But I'm not allowed to make that decision alone. And the editorial team needs pictures. They were thrilled by her natural "girl next door" quality, so I was able to produce Anna Sophie for Playboy in a 2-day shoot.

So I got a few liters of milk and, well, it really is an old concept, but I hadn't photographed it myself in over a decade, so Emanuelle was allowed to showcase her voluptuous breasts. Too banal? I was so grateful when the editor-in-chief of a Swiss magazine offered to let me shoot in his loft. So I booked myself a flight and arranged a shoot beforehand. I scheduled a second one as well, because you never know if the model will actually show up.

So there I am standing in this loft and my model doesn't come. Her phone is off. She must have gotten cold feet. So I call Noe. I'm actually not supposed to meet with her until the afternoon. I wake her up since ...
