New poll! "Sports car" vs. "Fame is a Gun"

We're not done with 2025! We have two up and coming pop stars, former (current?) dance star Tate McRae and, lower on the charts but higher with the critics, former (current?) influencer Addison Rae coming up to make the case for the next generation of pop girls. But which song shows us the future of pop, Tate McRae's "Sports car" or Addison Rae's "Fame is a Gun"?

The only episodes they post here are the bonus episodes. They never post the regular episodes on Patreon.

Um, why was the episode never posted? I know it's on Spotify/Apple/etc. but why not here?

And of all years to do 3 contemporary matchups, they chose 2025... I realize the last one was an (*) situation since they are songs that never went away, but still...

So Close To What is the Short n' Sweet of this year, and Addison is the Brat. Both are a downgrade

A few years ago I mentioned to my friend that I don’t really like Tate McRae’s music, and she said, “oh really? I like her because she’s my celebrity look-alike.” I don’t think I’d ever seen a picture of Tate McRae before that, only heard her music, so I googled her, and deadass she looks nearly IDENTICAL to my friend. So ever since then I’ve had some vestigial good will for Tate because she looks just like my friend. However, I can’t stand her music. Sports Car is almost unlistenable to me. There’s something about it that’s just incredibly grating. So I’m voting for Fame is a Gun because it’s listenable and has a nice chorus and a fun beat, even though it’s part of an indistinguishable hoard of low-key, snoozy, chill pop songs that are cute but kind of boring.

So much talk about Addison Rae being an influencer pop star, but for me my first impression will always be my partner referring to her as "the star of Netflix's He's All That"

I don't care about the songs, but the video to "Sports car" has no damn sports car in it, while the video to "Fame is a Gun" DOES feature a gun.
