Most of you know me for my fantasy illustrations, but something I rarely talk about is my work in animation. Here’s a look at some of my film concept art from Uni—from character design renderings and color keys to building and environment concept art.
Fun fact: the animation industry was actually the path I originally planned to pursue, and half of what I focused on during my studies. If you’ve been following me on Instagram for a longgg time, you might remember that my dream was to work for Disney one day.
The fantasy and book-related artwork started simply because I loved it… and then I sort of accidentally fell into doing it full time. Not complaining at all! I realized that, as much as I admire animation, it wasn’t the best fit for me—so much of it involves adapting to other people’s styles and ideas.
And what can I say? I love my artistic freedom! 😛
