I’m not going to lie, my first listen through the album I wasn’t sure how to feel, but on my second listen through I realized how much we got from Sabrina all on one album and I love it! It’s been on repeat for me for awhile now. Truly so fun and upbeat while still hitting some deeper topics on so many of the songs. Dumb and Poetic and Sharpest Tool are my favs, just amazing

Also forever saying you should react to Megan Moroney’s new album Am I Okay? - strong emo cowgirl vibes and she reminds me of Sabrina with how fun/funny she can be with her songs.

I think Taylor doesn't get enough credit for uplifting young pop girls like Sabrina. She is always supportive of other female artists. Haters only spread this false narrative that she blocks other artists. Taylor posted on Instagram support for Sabrina's album recently. You can see the Taylor influence as a mentor to young female artists in Sabrina's and Gracie's songwriting. Even Olivia's songwriting too. But also having their own sound and style which is needed to separate themselves.

Her songwriters were giving her a hard time for going back to the same well, but she said the distance helped her unlock what she finally wanted to say. The timeline for Sharpest Tool doesn’t match up with the brief relationship with Shawn. It’s talking about a relationship that had ended years ago. It seems to be about Joshua Bassett. Dumb and Poetic is also full of specific references and lyrical allusions to JB that are found in music by Sabrina, Olivia, and Joshua. There’s a playful energy in the shade she’s throwing in Taste and Coincidence. Those two songs are undeniably about Shawn and CC. Dumb & Poetic and Sharpest Tool reflect a deeper pain, and the insults are more brutal. Maybe it’s because she finally had the time to process how that relationship with JB impacted her. In addition to her lyrical brilliance, you can hear the differences between the two pairs of songs in the melodies and her vocal performances.

I love all of the songs, it's a skipless album. Taste and Juno are my current favs (you have to watch Taste's mv, is ICONIC) The funny thing is that I'm also a Shawn Mendes fan and I've been laughing about the memes and this situation since yesterday 😂 And as was already said here: he really deserved this drags 😂
