You got to watch more of txt, they are amazing. Soobin also has my favorite voice in the group but Yeonjun always catch my everything when i watch their performances… his expressions is just top tier and the man CAN dance hahahaha

Amanda Vicente

If you ever start watching Yoongi's Suchwita talk show, the one with Yeonjun and Taehyun is adorable. There is much little brother behavior. 😋

FlyUshkiFly

BigHit artists have been eating up tiny desks for years now! I bet BTS, RM, V, and TxT got so much new exposure through them. I've watched the OT7 and solo BTS ones - Now I need to watch TxT's at your recommendation! Thx! 😃

FlyUshkiFly

I'm not MOA, but I knew BigHit in-house legends create their sound, so I looked up credits. No surprise to see Slow Rabbit and Supreme Boi all over the place - and Hitman Bang PD himself on every track! 😂 Bang PD and RM wrote my fave txt song, 0x1=love song, right? I'd bet Bang is responsible for all the creative names and titles. 🤣

FlyUshkiFly

Ok, and Epik High! The badasses who are the reason SUGA and RM became rappers! 😃

FlyUshkiFly

All suggestions seconded! I'd add Mamamoo for their stunning vocals and chaotic energy in real life. 😊

FlyUshkiFly

My fave TXT song is opening sequence if u ver check it out or that album

Salsabil yakoubi

if you like taehyun's voice he's actually covered zayn's let me and better which you might find interesting!

jade

resident moa here (fandom name for txt)! so the name is written tomorrow x together but it's pronounced tomorrow by together. it's often shortened to either txt (tee ex tee) or tubatu (mostly hear this shortened version in korea or on twitter). the members names are pronounced yeonjun (yun-june), soobin (sue-bin), beomgyu (bom-gyew), taehyun (tay-hyuhn) and huening kai (hew-ning-kai) which is often shortened to hyuka or kai since huening is actually his last name.

jade

so glad you loved Leighs ep! she mentioned a full album coming sometime next year i think, she just wasn't ready to release one yet and wanted to find her sound with an ep first, so really looking forwards to that.

Swiftsos0024

ive missed them SO much

so nice to see ‘little mix’ (kinda) back on the channel 🥹. Leigh Anne absolutely killed that. She also surprised us with an extra song off the EP called nature, it’s amazing 🫶🏻

I’m so happy you decided to check out TXT , I’m an army but I have been following TXT since their debut and came to love them more and more and I would consider myself a MOA by now. The can pull of anything, they are so diverse, and I hope you’ll check out more of their discography. Any album is good but my favorites are : The Dream Chapter ETERNITY, Minisode 2 Thursday’s Child, The Chaos Chapter FREEZE, The Name Chapter TEMPTATION and The Name Chapter FREEFALL. I realize that that’s almost all of them but their discography is flawless in my opinion! And if you wanna get to know these 5 boys a little more there is a documentary on Disney + called “Tomorrow x Together: Our Last Summer” and it’s really good🙌🏼 Now onto some other kpop, kartists/ groups, jpop that I would recommend: Enhypen, Boynextdoor,The Rose, Eric Nam, &team

Bangtan is life

I think you would love Balkan Beat Box!!! Also, LOVE how much you love Hozier!!! He is a freaking genius. Allison russell is opening for hozier on his tour, just an fyi Empire now is a full on experience! That shits crazy

Maryn Levi

other k-pop artists I'd love to watch you react to are obviously more ACE(!), newjeans, pentagon, stayc, sunmi, jackson wang, kiss of life (I could go forever tbh)

Giu Bressani

As for recommendations, I don't even think I need to say it anymore atp lol ATEEZ will always be up there for me and they have my absolute favorite discography in all of K-Pop (and I've listened to dozens of full discographies in the past) so I will never stop asking people to give them a chance! Their last album, Golden Hour, is starting a new chapter for them and it has a lot of reggaeton and reggae influences! They usually have well-defined eras exploring a specific concept and sound with like 3-4 EPs each, and this is their 4th 'era' after 'Treasure' (exploring a journey towards a dream), 'Fever' (about youth, maturing and friendships) and World (literally about overthrowing a dictatorship in a dystopian world, please don't ask for details). ANYWAYS I know they didn't place that high on the poll but I hope someday you can have the chance to check them out <3

Giu Bressani

Super happy you listened to Unheard! It’s absolutely amazing. Hozier never disappoints.

TXT has some amazing tunes on their discography! I can't say they're on my top favorite groups right now soundwise, but I always make sure to listen to what they're putting out because I know I'll always get some good tracks. They mostly work with Bang Sihyuk (BigHit/HYBE founder) and in-house producer Slow Rabbit, who also worked on most of BTS' discography up until 2019/2020! They're a great team of producers and have really helped with finding the perfect sound for the boys (alongside them since they've also been working on songs themselves for a while).

Giu Bressani

So glad you listened to Leigh-Anne's EP and enjoyed it so much, I agree it's such a strong collection of songs and her voice really sounds so good on it! She actually just added a 6th song to the EP called Nature which is so good too, and in interviews she's said she has been working on an album, she just didn't feel ready to release an album yet and these songs felt like they fit better together seperately outside the album, so I think there will be more from her! :D

Rebecca H

I'm glad you checked out TXT. They are one of the (few) groups I really like in kpop. Because they are like BTS's litlle brothers, I have been following them since their debut; with time I learned to love and appreciate them as an individual artist. My favorite projects from them are "The Chaos Chapter: Freeze" (my absolute favorite project from them and with my favorite title track from them, LOVESONG) and the EP "minisode 2: Thursday's Child". Other artists I think you would like (if you want and have the time of course) are: - Enhypen They are also very talented. Their latest album "MEMORABILIA" is a special album (with songs more conected to their ongoing storyline) but its really really good. My favorite albums from them are "Dark Blood" (wich has "Bite Me" as a title track; that track still has me under a chokehold), "Orange Blood" and "Border: Carnival". - the k band "The Rose" They are my favorite k band and I just love their music. Their latest album "DUAL" is amazing. I think it would be fun to see your reaction to them. Outside of kpop, I would like to recommend Jeff Satur too. He is a thai male singer-songwriter, music producer, model and actor (and soon to be the producer of a series too). He is immensely talented and has some of the most beautiful songs out there. He has a voice of an angel and he is like an angel as a person. He has an album called "Space Shuttle No.8". It's one of my favorite release this year so far. I hope you can give him a chance one day too. Sorry for the big comment. Thank you!! <3

TXT is the only brother group of BTS, so that is why in terms of music they have very good quality now. They sometimes used the same producers, and they are very close. Also taehyun is the main vocal of the group, he has a very good voice Also soobin voice is amazing to me. I loveddd his tone

valeria castillo

TXT nephews are coming into their sound so nicely. They do so many genres but i feel like they really shine with that pop or rock sound they have in their albums. I saw them live recently. They are younger than me so i have a hard time seeing them anything other than babies but The Killa live kinda changed my life ngl. Soobin and Yeonjun are crazy.

Les

These 2 albums are chef's kiss 🤌 Temptation as well

Michel

i'm so happy you enjoyed TXT! i've been following them since their debut in 2019 and they consistently put out excellent songs and albums. my personal favorite album is The Chaos Chapter: Freeze. the single off that album (0X1 = LOVESONG) is one of my favorite kpop songs ever! minisode 2: Thursday's Child is also really great. would love to see you listen to more TXT in the future!

Sara

When I was younger I definitely didn't have and show enough appreciation to Leigh-Anne's vocal tone. Now I'm just completely obsessed. This style fits her so well. I'm really glad you checked out TXT! They have so many bangers. In kpop there's quite a heavy focus on "concepts" of each group and album, it gives birth to a lot of EPs rather than full albums but I honestly kinda like it, cs if it's done well, it creates a really cohesive piece of art and it's def an experience each time. And txt nails this! I find their albums so beautiful, carefully crafted and pieced together so that it makes sense in a short AND long term. I'm not entirely familiar with all their lore and I know there's A LOT, but even just listening to those albums alone without any hard feelings (no pun intended) is always a bliss. As far as recommendations go, there's so many I'd love you to listen to but I'm gonna shamelessly give a shout-out to the third love of my life (after my bf & BTS lol) which is Zerobaseone (or ZB1 for short). They only debuted a year ago and have 3 EPs but god, I love their music so much. It's definitely not as deep as BTS and TXT (ie) lyrically, but they're very, very talented singers and each track is a BOP. I think you could really enjoy their music. They recently had a comeback with an album called "You had me at HELLO" and it's almost funny how all the songs sound nothing like each other - proving that these boys could pull out any genre out there - yet it still feels somewhat cohesive and nice. I know there's a lot of other groups with much larger following so they're more likely to get attention, but I'm just throwing it into the universe <3

Michel

Ooo, I forgot about that documentary - yes! Michael - if you want to add a music-documentary to your plans, it's a good one. Because they debuted in 2019, the pandemic caused them to not be able to have a proper tour until 2022 - 3 years into their career.

Alix Drifty

lol, I saw it live, if you can imagine.

Alix Drifty

Yay for planning to do more Hozier soon! You'll really love all his projects, I believe. My interpretation of Empire Now is that it's about it being 100 years since Ireland gained their independence from the British Empire after the Irish Revolution. But you could also be correct about it also being about the future for both Ireland and the world. Yay for TXT! They're a great group - they debuted in 2019 and have been slowly finding their own unique sound since, every release of theirs gets better and better. They're on the same label as BTS, so there's a little bit of producer overlap between the two groups. Taehyun(g) is definitely a popular name in Korea. Beomgyu is pronounced like Bom-gyu, where the G is like the G in "goo" rather than gyu sounding like "jew". Unlike other kpop groups, they don't really have official "positions" beyond the leader (Soobin), so there's no official "rapper" or "dancer" or "vocalist" - they're all vocalists and dancers (and rappers when a song requires it - though Yeonjun does tend to do the more rap-like parts more often than the others). If you want a fun dance practice to watch - I highly recommend their dance practice for See You There Tomorrow. They have a theme of including morse-code in their albums, it's usually a keyword from the album or song title. Their videos are often really complicated storyline-wise, but always visually stunning. I've given up trying to figure out what's going on and I just enjoy the beautiful scenes. Taehyun and Soobin are my two vocal favourites too! I was able to see them on their recent US tour, and it was a fantastic time. Kai REALLY loves the pop-punk sound, so it does show up a fair bit in their discography. It's a rather nostalgic sound for me, since I was a teenager when pop-punk was at its most popular. My favourite full album of theirs is "The Chaos Chapter: Freeze" - not saying I love absolutely every song, but it has some of my all-time favourites on it. Another EP that's excellent is "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" and then "minisode 1: Blue Hour" has my SOTY for 2020 on it.

Alix Drifty

Ohh can’t wait to watch this! What a range of artists to have in one video

chimelle6

I'm an idiot. I immediately went to YT and watched one. Send help.

jennptx

someone really needs to request txt on tiny desk because damn it was just so good

Jenny V

my heart definitely couldnt 😭 its INSANE 😳😳

ellie

I still haven't watched a full performance of Killa yet because I don't know if my heart can take it 😂

jennptx

deja vu will genuinely be my top streamed song this year i cannot stop listening to it hahah

star

Also, I won't spoil (too much) some of the early album concepts for you, but I think you'd especially like them ⚡

jennptx

Also so excited to see TXT and glad you enjoyed it. A couple pronunciation notes: the X is "by", so Tomorrow by Together (or sometimes people will call them tubatu); I think the g in Korean is always a hard g, and the eo is like the o in long or john (so Beomgyu sounds like bom-gyu). I was not paying close enough attention when TXT first debuted, but the last two years of albums have all been super impressive. There is a lot of angst, genre-bending, interesting lyrics, interesting melodies, excellent vocals since the beginning. They have one of my favorite debut songs of any K-Pop group. I'd be happy to tag along for any album listens. They also have a documentary on Disney + called Our Lost Summer that documents their first world tour ending in a half-hour set at Lollapalooza in 2022. They came back and headlined with an hour and a half set at Lollapalooza last summer. Both Lolla shows are available in full and for free on YouTube. I'm also a sucker for Taehyun and Soobin's vocals, but the whole group is talented and the team around them has been impressive.

jennptx

thank you SO much for checking out txt!!! im so glad you enjoyed ‘tomorrow’ !! txt are so talented and their music is always so impressive. their vocals are actually unreal. if you ever get the chance, i recommend checking out a live performance of them because their live vocals are incredible. their music is always so diverse in sound and their albums/eps typically tend to have a story told within them! for the killa, yeonjun and soobin are the two oldest in the group and to use their own words are ‘more seasoned’ and the other 3 are ‘less ripe’ so they fit well with this 😭 beomgyu (pronounced bom-gyu) taehyun and kai are the younger members. txt dont actually have positions in the group like a lot of kpop groups (except for the leader position which is soobin) and theyve all trained in vocals, rap and dance. though they really dont have a lot of rap heavy songs, yeonjun or kai are typically the members who rap when they do. oh and the morse code stands for ‘tomorrow’. the morse code track is a call back to their debut where morse code was used! again thank you SO much for listening!! sorry this is kinda long 🤍🫂

ellie

Ahhh TXT! I just went to their show at MSG and damn was that a banger of a show

Lauren
