Oooh wait I didn't mean she liked them because of them being like that, more like why the show kept pairing her with those type of characters. I totally get she didn't see that side of Nathan when they started dating tho. Sorry for my miscommunication, and thank you for discussing it in such a nice manner.

2023-11-18 19:24:23 +0000 UTCI disagree with this. For one, she didn't like Nathan because he was a douche. She liked him because he showed her a vulnerable side of himself. She liked him for his kind heart that he showed her even though he wasn't willing to show it to anyone else at that time. As to Chris she doesn't like Chris. As she says in this episode... she is jealous of him and his way of life. This isn't even getting into the realm of spoilers because it's something she says in this episode and I believe her. I even believed her when I first watched this episode. Also let's not forget that Chris is a fucking adult who is preying upon a 16 year old girl. He is a fucking pedophile for kissing a minor. He is taking advantage of her dream of pursuing her music career and he is trying to come off as more important than he is because he knows that his life is enticing to her.

Been dealing with a terrible head cold and this helped cheer me up. 😀 oh boy I love you judging each episode based on how messy it is. 😂 So much is happening with sooooo much more to come. Dan Scott just ya know keeps doing his thing. I feel for Jules bc she was trying to make things right for herself only to be caught in Dan Scott's web. Then you have Nathan and Haley with their up & down relationship with Chris and Taylor involvements. I love love love the way Lucas's and Anna's friendship turned out. Loved your overall reaction as usual and can't wait for more!!! ❤️

2023-11-17 02:51:54 +0000 UTCThe editing on the first episode was kind of awful. First, I'm trying to figure out what that first moment was with Chris and Haley on the bus. The little transition they had between that and them standing on the platform was something they typically use for flashbacks, but it seems like in this case it was sort of a daydream or something. So weird. Overall, It felt like they were trying to cram too many things into one episode, and the way it kept jumping around was really jarring. At least twice they would have two scenes back to back with the same characters but we've jumped forward to the next day. The flow and pacing were way off, IMO. I actually really like how the second episode sets up certain things for the future. Without spoilers, I like how Brooke's storyline informs on the goals she's going to work toward throughout the next couple seasons, and it really shows the growth of her character from the first season to now. I'm having fun rewatching this episode through the eyes of someone who hasn't seen it before. Can't wait for the next!

It just makes it more realistic too me, and I know you keep saying MESSY but real life is messy lol
