Each goblin symbol bears a different effect that allows the goblin to personalize their slave. As this can be a very time-consuming process, many adventurers see enslavement by goblins to be an extremely embarrassing fate. After all, how could any self-respecting hero suffer the long, drawn out process of having their willpower destroyed piece by piece? Especially by a lesser species with lesser magic.
Goblins, for their part, love to make a show of the process, making a public display of the victim’s enslavement while a jeering crowd makes requests. The mage acts as master of ceremonies, riling up an adoring audience and bragging about her latest conquest while asking the crowd just how thoroughly the adventurer deserves to break.
This was a little warmup to get back in the drawing mood. I love building on this little setting I've been working on so I'm hoping to do a little series of how each of the factions does their mind control.
