Ken Klippenstein visits the War Room

Ken Klippenstein is currently in the news due to Elon Musk/Twitter's overreaction to his release of the JD Vance Dossier but before that, he took some time out of his schedule to visit Steve Bannon's War Room. The result is a fiery exchange... or maybe not exactly.

I think it helps when you see the visuals of this guest appearance, which Editor Andy has kindly provided. He will be adding details of which Supplementary Material the videos are taken from moving forward.

I wonder how the QAA folks now feel after their friendly conversation with Klippenstein.

They do indeed. But it's not the nefarious men in black in smoke filled rooms that Musk and his fans think of. It's just your neighbour, Keith, in a cubical flagging security leaks with his boss, Ken, who sends a politely worded email via Microsoft Outlook to some person at X who he probably also chats to about his wife and kids. Keith likes woodworking, going on hikes, playing with his kids and has a pretty broad political view. He lives in suburbia and is trying to convince his wife to get a pool. Keith has zero interest what you post about the government or world events, as long as you're not putting it's agents or interests in danger and even then, if you're a journalist and you ruin an operation that's usually on Colonel (now Major) O'Neill who screwed up on operational security.

So someone posted on the DTG Reddit about the irony of Elon Musk threatening to remove X App users for posting fake news. Dozens of follow-up comments followed. I added a comment about a fake article he posted yesterday that led to a ProPublica reporter being harassed and reminded of the false accusation he made against the rescuer of the Thai soccer team stuck in the cave. And the DTG Moderator removed my comment. This ever happen to anyone else?

“So I think the problem you’re describing is particularly acute when it comes to national security because the federal government uniquely has a stranglehold on the flow of information.” Someone please correct my ignorance on this topic if warranted, but… of course they do! Of course the federal government tries to control the flow of information around issues of national security! How is this unique? Or surprising? Maybe I’m just jaded, but this seems like tilting at windmills.

From now on, I will always think he is wearing a trench coat.
