Early Release of Julia Ebner episode (with looong outro)

Hi everyone,

We are burrowing into our next decoding but in the meantime here is an interview episode with Julia Ebner.

You may have listened to this a few weeks ago and if so, just remember you have bookmarks in all good podcast players. So you can skip over parts you have heard before (although personally, I think there is nothing wrong with hearing Julia's interview twice!).

As you know the interview was recorded before the recent tragic events. The intro was not however so we do discuss it a bit at the start and cover one guru's conspiracy hypothesis about the event in some detail.

The outro segment is loooong so we will trim down for the full release but you get it all here.

If you notice any big glitches, please let me know because I can still remove before the release on the main feed in a few days.

Just listened to this episode. Catching up on some older ones because Im a new subscriber. Chris that reference you made to the clip "we're just ordinary men" cracked me up. That clip is so funny. Some British tv show.

I think I've cracked on to Eric Weinstein's true supervillain origin story. I can't upload screenshots of what I saw, so I'll just have to provide a link here. The answer was in front of us all along. Eric is not only a college professor who nuked his own career in a publicity stunt to springboard himself to podcast prominence, like Jordan Peterson. No, he's also a former backup musician from the mid 1980s named Joe Puerta. I have no documentation to prove this, because obviously there's a conspiracy to prevent the name change paperwork from seeing the light of day, but look at this Bruce Hornsby video and TELL ME THAT BASS PLAYER ISN'T A YOUNGER ERIC. https://youtu.be/PPmyYs92GDs?si=hAmkQ8VNO3FEVkbN https://youtu.be/KfKIq1Pmc8Q?si=8poo7U0qVCdrblmS Do your own research of course, but I've decided that I'm right, and Eric simply wants us to ignore this secret origin of all his grievances. It all makes sense to me now. And to think I saw him open for Huey Lewis and the News when I was but a wee 3rd grade boy. Anyway, I'd just like to say I have no suicidal tendencies. If my KIA blows up in the Half Price Books parking lot later today, it was a bomb planted by Heather and a Dark Horse Podcast intern.

I'd sort of lost track of Tim in the last year or two. I love the idea that he's said something that annoyed the hell out of Bret, though.

"And so, any facts can be made to fit the facts and your face Tim Dillon!" Oh dear, I completely lost my sensemaking ability with that last sentence. I think I wasn't running enough paradigms.

Bret's theories on the Hamas attack on Israel are ridiculous and cringeworthy, but I have some theories of my own. 1. Bret is upset because whoever makes the "I support the current thing" meme probably doesn't know what to do. 2. I think Bret has been thinking long and hard about that comedian Tim Dillon negatively comparing him and his brother with the inventor of the Rotato. Bret is answering Dillon by pointing out that the Rotato is merely a tool for making meals, whereas the Coalition Slicer Dicer is a *concept* that can be used for making sense! Does your theory of the world seem completely at odds with what is going on in the world? No problem! Just use the Coalition Slicer Dicer to rid your mind of that cognitive dissonance. If it seems that New World Order are behaving in contradictory ways, that's just to throw people off the scent! And so, any facts can be made to fit the facts and your face Tim Dillon!

I wish Julia had made audio books! Her books must be fascinating. She was so brave!
