Upcoming Debate with John Vervaeke & Christopher Mastropietro

Next month, Matt and I have agreed to have a discussion/debate with John Vervaeke & his co-author/ex-student Christopher Mastropietro at The Stoa on the topic of "Secular Gurus, Wisdom Signalling, and the Wisdom of Criticism". Following their format, we are initially each given a few minutes to answer "What's the importance of wisdom and public criticism?" (a compromise topic) and then it will open up into a back-and-forth conversation, followed by a Q&A.

We are well aware of the rather mystical & sense-making sympathetic nature of The Stoa. As with my previous discussions with David Fuller, I actually think it is important to raise the points we normally do on the podcast with sense-maker audiences & advocates. Others may disagree, but you know me, I'm an incurable optimist! ;)
