It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Geek out (Video)

Hi everyone,

There is no other way to put this. This is just an indulgence!

Matt and I have enjoyed It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia a lot this year and we knew friend-of-the-pod and Very Bad Wizard, Dave Pizarro, also enjoys the show and is more insightful with his commentary than us.

So we sat down to have a discussion about it.

There is not much relationship to Gurus, so if this does not sound like your thing feel free to skip!

Otherwise... enjoy!

Also, witty American comedies do exist – you just have to look a bit harder for them. Most people know Arrested Development, but another one I'm always amazed that more people don't know is Community, made by Dan Harmon before he did Rick and Morty (except it's live-action). It took about half a season to get going, but boy did it get going. It was critically acclaimed and has a cult following. It managed to attract an illustrious list of guest stars – not only did it have Donald Glover before he was Childish Gambino, but recurring roles included John Oliver, Brie Larson, Jonathan Banks and Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad, and John Goodman. I honestly can't recommend it enough.

This was a double crossover that I never expected! Not only two of my favourite podcasts, but talking about one of my favourite shows. I could have watched another 2 hours of this. The funniest outtake for me is Dennis's "I have to have my tools". But am I right in remembering Chris mention that he only listened to most of the episodes like a podcast? You'd miss so much that way – it's such a visual show compared to most.
