Still, I'm sure most of you are still billed on the 1st of every month, and I did say I would release it one day early. So here it is:
Alright, so this is it. I don't know how to feel about this update. I knew we would have to tackle it at some point, but it was always far away in my mind.
First of all, for the things that were added. 21k words~, 6 CG sets, and 1 sex scene. I know, 1 sex scene sounds low when we're at this point in the story, but it is how it is.
Now, it will sound kind of hollow coming from me since I say it pretty much every single time. But this worries me. I tried my best to think of a way to avoid what's happening in this update… but it's not possible. This is the problem with Aya, pretty much. I never thought she was compatible with NTR, and this update encapsulates the reason why perfectly. I won't say more about it until after everyone had the chance to play the update, but that's just my personal opinion and I want to share it.
I also feel let down by how the sex scene ended up looking like. I wanted to animate it, but it would have cost too much. Also, the direction could have been better. I tried something, but I think it didn’t work all that well.
Other important scenes are also suffering from bad direction, I feel like. I know it's a visual novel, and there's a limit to how I can portray things, but it still doesn't mean I can't be disappointed by it. In my head, I had a very clear image of what I wanted to show… but it lacks something. It's hard to put into words.
In any case! I know me, whining, is stupid. I should be building up hype, not shooting it with a shotgun. So I'll stop here. Depending on people's reactions, I'll post something more thorough in the next couple of weeks explaining my thoughts on the matter. For now, happy disappointment!

首先，来说说新增的内容。大约2.1万字，6组CG，还有1个性爱场景。我知道，在故事进行到这个阶段时，1个性爱场景听起来很少，但事实就是如此。

Good stuff. Love the art and writing. Just discovered this VN this morning and played it all the way through including this update, start-to-finish non-stop. Loving it in I couldn't put it down sort of way. Some feedback: Felt like the Aya arc was way too long. Made Harry's character seem insanely implausible. The number of times there was a suspicious and unexplained absence followed by running into Luca having sex would make any boyfriend suspicious, especially considering their shared history together. Also, I mean come on, who wouldn't recognize their own girlfriend's naked torso. The Laura arc version of Harry seemed way more believable to me. Aya arc Harry was just totally pathetic (the character himself not the writing!). I'm new to the genre so these might be normal tropes here. I found you via a Patreon recommendation after playing Indecent Wife Hana. Which was different because everyone seemed to be in on it. That was my first NTR story. Yours is my second. For your VN, I am more drawn to the drama happening among the characters and H scenes than the fetish. Like I get exhausted if the MC is just ran into the absolute ground with humiliation and cucking and is hopelessly clueless to what is actually happening. But like I said, I'm guessing these are normal tropes for this genre. That said, I'm happy where the story seems to be headed at the end of this update.

I’ll apologize in advance because, as always, I’m about to ramble. I might even overshare things I probably shouldn’t. But that’s exactly why I write these in the heat of the moment—so I can express my feelings as honestly and clearly as possible. If anyone is actually reading this, it’s probably the 28th or later. I like to post my so-called reviews of updates on the $5 tier so that everyone can see them if needed. I’ve already shared my excitement for this update in previous posts—even went as far as upgrading my tier this month just to play it early. Now, if it isn’t obvious yet, I’m about to get cringy as hell, so consider this your warning. Anyone who’s read my ridiculously long comments knows that I could probably be considered Hangover’s #1 glazer. And to that, I’d say… maybe yes, but also no. Because while I do think I’m a glazer, I’m not a shill. To put it simply, for those unfamiliar with the term “shill”… A shill is someone who secretly promotes something for personal gain while pretending to be a genuine supporter. If that were me, I’d be blindly praising this update and keeping my mouth shut. But that’s not the case. First off, I want to apologize—I’m not trying to stir shit up or come off like a jerk. At the end of the day, this is just my opinion. That said, I can’t sugarcoat this. So… here we go. I’m gonna start with the good—because, to me at least, the bad is pretty obvious. That said… I don’t even know how to approach this. I know for a fact that I’m not looking at this update objectively—I’m in my feelings right now. I guess I’ll start with how I played it. As always, I began with Harry’s POV-only mode. Before diving into the new content, I replayed the entire previous update—because, in my experience, that’s the best way to do it. If I had to sum it up in one word? Fitting. As much as I enjoy ‘action’ in Harry’s POV, I think, for this specific setup, it made perfect sense that there wasn’t any. In fact, I’d say it was better that way—anything else might have felt forced. I also have to reiterate—this was one of the scenarios I expected Hangover to go for. That’s why I assumed you (Hangover) were stressing over it. Maybe that’s true, maybe not—I can’t say for sure since you haven’t had the chance to update us on it yet. Now that I’ve brought it up, I really hope you do update us—whether through a poll or a post here on Patreon—to gauge how this update was received. Personally, I can’t tell. I don’t interact much on Discord aside from checking the announcement channel, so I have no idea what the general sentiment is. But I’ll be honest—this time, I’m more curious than ever. Am I overreacting? Do others feel the same way? Or do people have an entirely different take on this update? But yeah, let me get back on topic. Man… Harry’s POV felt like I was playing a full-on drama visual novel with zero connection to hentai at all—and honestly? That’s not a bad thing at all LMAO. If anything, it felt different, and for this specific setup, I think it made sense. The way it played out was completely fine. It’s hard to explain, but I guess I just wasn’t expecting this route to have Aya straight-up murdering someone—other than Luca or her father. Maybe this is why you were warning us that Aya isn’t compatible with NTR. Her side of the story isn’t something you typically see in NTR games, where people just come for the guilty pleasure. And yet, here we are—hit with this completely unexpected sequence of events. That’s pretty much all I’ll say on that. Maybe some people hated it—and honestly, I wouldn’t blame them. Considering the expectations around this update, I can totally see why. I’m assuming some Harry POV enjoyers felt like this was the biggest blueballing incident ever LMAO. But like I said, for this scenario, it was fine. If we wanted action in Harry’s POV, it would’ve needed a completely different setup. Anyway, I just gotta say—LAURA, my queen, my goddess—how I have missed her. I know things are about to get absolutely disgusting, because, like I predicted, post-"mindbreak" Aya is about to be the most unhinged version of her yet. But enough about that. Not because I’ve already rambled a ton about Harry’s POV, but because, honestly, I don’t have much else to say about it—other than that it was kinda crazy, not gonna lie (mainly in the sense of how much it felt like a full-on drama/action packed visual novel). Now, let’s talk about the bad—and hopefully keep it short. Let’s be real, we all know what it is (or at least, if anyone else feels the way I do, of course—because, at the end of the day, this is just my opinion). Aya’s POV. And no, I’m not saying her POV was underwhelming, unexpected, or anything like that. If anything, I expected her to go completely ballistic. But that’s not the point. To put it bluntly—without sugarcoating anything, and again, not trying to sound like a dickhead, but I have to say it—this was the most disappointing lewd climax scene you’ve done yet. And by that, I mean in my opinion, when compared to everything you’ve released up until now. And I do mean everything—all your main projects, side projects, even the bonus scenes. I know this might sound like a hater take or an overreaction, but when you consider the stakes of this release, the buildup leading to it—everything—I just can’t sit here, smile, and say, "Wow, that was great." I’m sorry, but I can’t. Maybe this is unfair coming from me since I’m just a reader, and I have no idea what actually goes into making these scenes. But when you’ve set a certain standard of high quality up to this point—then suddenly drop this on us—it’s hard to accept. Even if I know that this setup might lead to something better down the line, it still feels underwhelming. And at the end of the day, there’s nothing I can do except take the pill and move on. I see what you were trying to do. But honestly? The execution was terrible. Again, just my opinion—but I feel like, for this instance, you should have kept it simple. It seems like you were trying too hard to balance showing what was happening while also maintaining strong storytelling. Personally, I think you should have sacrificed some of the showing and let imagination do more of the work. I wouldn’t have minded if the scene took place in a regular room—even if that meant we didn’t see a huge window or the possibility of people watching—if it meant we got a better scene overall. For this particular moment, I think it would have been better to focus on delivering a stronger experience, rather than trying to fully showcase the setting at the expense of the scene itself. I’m really trying to keep my frustration in check, but when I compare this to my favorite update from Laura’s route—the very first Laura mindbreak sequence—it’s just night and day. That update had two animated scenes, and then you added CG sets to close out the rest of it. Meanwhile, when I look at this update in comparison… it just feels like a complete waste. And again, I’m sorry—I know this is probably the last thing anyone wants to hear—but my god, this just wasn’t it. I still believe the better approach would have been to include at least one animated scene. Just one. Keep it simple—don’t try so hard to show everything, just tell and let us imagine the setting a little more. Then, after that one animated scene, you could have done what you did with that Laura update—add a CG set, or even reuse an old one if necessary. I just genuinely feel like that would have been the better option for a stronger experience—at least in my humble opinion. I know I’ve repeated myself a lot, so I apologize once again. That’s about it for what I wanted to say about this update. Overall—and I say this without trying to sound like an ass—in my opinion, this might be the worst update you’ve released yet. Not just because of the content itself, but because of the implications of it all. Again, this is just my opinion—others might feel completely different. So I pray that more people speak up about this update because I need to know—am I just being a dumbass, or am I actually onto something? I swear, I’m losing my mind over this. And like I said, no matter what happens next—which, let’s be real, is obviously going to be amazing because Aya is completely unhinged now—no matter how great the future content is, this update… or rather, this one scene… will always be one of the biggest grudges I hold. LMAO. Even if everything that follows is incredible, I shall never forget. Like my grandpa used to say—LMAO. I said I wasn’t gonna joke, and yet here I am again. So yeah… time to wrap it up. This time around? Not the greatest update. Actually—scratch that. It’s not about the update as a whole. FUCK that. It was just that one scene that I hold a grudge against. So no, it’s not the entire update. However—that scene alone completely ruined the experience for me. So, it is what it is. The update itself was aight for what it was. But man, the execution of that one scene? That ruined my whole night. LOL. That said, I’m still here, still supporting—because I love your projects and everything you do (HOLY GLAZE).
