I love the Hong Kong episodes! For a fun fact, the shopping mall filming (the last location in the night race) was halted I believed, or had to be moved because just THAT many fans showed up. It was insane seeing the pictures that hit the news at the time! They had to halt filming for a little bit to try to settle things down. And to add context to why they're so shocked by the fans at the airports is because this is in fact very new to ALL of them (outside of Nichkhun in the Thailand special and Yonghwa here because they're idols). None of the Running Man cast had that much fandom pull anywhere before the show, especially internationally. You're aware now, in 2024, that RM is the longest running variety and Korea's most famous variety show. But this was the start of Running Man, themselves, the studio/producers, and even Korea understanding how much pull they had internationally. No other Korean variety had this effect yet outside of Korea (and not even in Korea). So it's like you're watching the moments Running Man realizing they're making history.

He would always be selected in the hiding team aka find the the clues team, and they would win most of the time. The other time was when he go to betray the running cast members with that literacy test, he has to get the cast to help him with some answers and HE WON. Then he was with Daesung in that one camping boyscout episode. That’s why the RM cast was like Yonghwa is practically family at this point cuz he’s a recurring guest lol. He continues to be a recurring guest and has great chemistry with the cast. I hoped he would join the cast permanently since he gets along so well and is super funny..but yet competitive. But yeah..he has not become a permanent cast member. 🥺
