Pinball Part 2

It's here. It's here! It's finally here!

https://youtu.be/E3p_Cv32tEo

You may notice that the set isn't behind the pinball machine. Yep - I've already started packing everything up. And partly due to that, I have a different audio setup running. Mostly it worked well, but the mic kit was really being influenced by the coils in the machine - that was a surprise, and I apologize for the various popping and clicking that leaks in here and there.

So, I'm gonna be releasing this on Friday, I think. Captions will be delayed unfortunately - I'll paste the script in shortly and rough captions should appear within an hour or two, but I'll be on the road tomorrow to make the final preparations for the move.

Don't worry, though - I'll be back before the move actually happens. I'll give y'all a tour of the new headquarters before stuff shows up there. Stay tuned for that in the new year.

I probably won't post here until then, so - happy new year! Here's hoping calamities are kept to a minimum.

Pinball Part 2

Comments

When I was young, I was a huge fan of pinball. The physics of pinball are real, not like the fake physics of early video games. I wasn't a wizard of any kind, but I did play a lot of pinball in the late 70s and early 80s. Not only am I fascinated by your deep dive into this pinball machine (and other electromechanical wonders like that jukebox), but it is soothing and nostalgic to listen to the bells and the chonk of the relays. Thank you so much!

I love these pinball explanations so much ! Congrats on taking the time and being brilliantly didactic about this. I'll revisit my 1968 gottlieb pinball with a renewed interest and better understanding.
