Literally the first video I watch after becoming a patreon (like ten minutes ago) and all I can say is “Hi Reed!” :D Grew up with cats and dogs, and can say with confidence that a home without a cat (or dog (or both)) is just a house. Our current kitty is Sabrina (Brie for short), she's also just over a year old, and definitely still much of a kitten. She sends purrs your way :)

Our first cat, who we also adopted, was a pure black cat as well. We got him longer ago than I care to mention. He was not only extremely well behaved (besides being a Houdini at getting outside) he was also very smart. He not learned only knock to be let back in but also figured out two different ways to do so. I really miss that cat, hope you have fun with Reed.

Anyone with a cat knows, it's impossible to NOT pet their tails like that! When I was getting my two cats at the shelter probably 10 years ago there was an old lady in there making really nasty comments about the black and tortie ones, it was sad. My parents have a cat that looks just like yours and one of mine is a mostly black tortie, they are the sweetest frends!

Black cats are awesome, I have no idea why people overlook them. I adopted mine 10 years ago and he has been awesome everyday since i brought him home. Extremely affectionate, loves people the best pet i've ever had.

So adorable! I have had three different black cats and everyone of them was very sweet and loving. One is still alive at 18 years old and lives with my parents. I had to put my best buddy Shadow down a little over 10 years ago.

From my understanding and research of becoming a cat-daddy, is that cat's brains repond to the same sound happening several times. That is why you see/hear people pspspspsps or click at cats, as they apparently their brains register that as a thing better. That might help you get reed's attention. Cats are weird.
