Awesome video! I'd love to see more videos like this. Perhaps the now defunct moving doors at the beginning of the Indiana Jones Temple ride at Disneyland.

Yes, there are a ton of theme park videos out there already, but there is only one Technology Connections! More like this please!
2018-06-26 02:53:43 +0000 UTCI wouldn't mind a bunch more videos about this kind of thing. Most people probably wouldn't think much about the effect, and most who would notice it wouldn't really consider that it's there for pragmatic reasons. Your explanation being so entertaining definitely helps.

You could also do a mini-followup about the drop in Pirates in WDW (right before the big battle scene). It serves both as a zone hold AND drops you below the railroad and into the main show building. To get back up to "ground" level (above the utilidoors) you ride the ramp with the foot/peg prints on it. More Disney tech!
