i agree but dream academy is like the upgraded version of training system in my opinion because they are pretty much provided with all the facilities ( as they should ) and all they have to do is train, maximize their potential and enhance their skills which is still difficult . meanwhile back in the days bts were suffering from both lack of resources, lack of promotion AND intensive harsh and cruel training

2025-10-31 16:23:29 +0000 UTCIf you guys are really interested in a behind the scenes of what the trainee process is like check out Dream Academy on Netflix, its short i think like 6-8 ep. The girl group that came out of it (Katseye <3) is under a sub label for BTS' company HYBE. They are one of the first global girl groups (global meaning the members were casted from everywhere and are not all korean) that the CEO who formed BTS has put out using the kpop trainee model, and BTS' old choreographer is heavily involved! I think people who are not familiar with kpop and the trainee experience would find is fascinating to see how intense/ cut throat things can be even though it is toned down from what trainees in korea experience. it is a great watch and i would love to see how shocked you guys would be lol

2025-10-30 03:15:11 +0000 UTCNot sure if anyone has mentioned it yet; BTS especially back in their rookie days, used to practice 12-15 hours a day. Dance lessons, vocal lessons, language lessons and then performance practices. BTS practiced vocal stability by singing while running on a treadmill. To maintain in sync, they do video monitoring of their dance practices and pause each frame to double check down to the exact angles of their arms, legs, torso, heads. It is so tedious and just testament to their work ethic and passion for their craft.
