Mice Tea Poll: Polish or Progress?

I'd like your feedback on what you'd like me to focus on this month. I could either work on polishing the game from the beginning, or I could keep adding blocked-out backgrounds, CG's, and character sprites to the next scene in the game.
Polishing what I have already would give the demo much more punch and make it more enticing to new players. I would like to start by replacing all of the stock photo backgrounds with my own hand-drawn ones, and then complete the CG's that show Margaret examining the box of tea and the beginning of her transformation. Below is a work in progress of one of the new backgrounds, the Bookstore:
Progress would mean blocking out the new laundromat scenes, where Margaret experiences an awkward encounter with an old friend as well as more transformation shenanigans. This would result in blocked-out images similar in style to the end of the current demo, where Margaret is examining herself in the bathroom mirror.
In the end, I leave it to you! Should I Polish or Progress?
